I'm first of all, new to this forum so hello to everyone out there! Second of all, I took the NCLEX today and answered 185 questions. My question is, Can you tell if you passed or failed by how you answered your last question??

I took my NCLEX on 9-7-07, answered 110 questions. Frankly, all I can remember about the last question was two of the answers. I too, had heard the same thing, that the last question if answered correctly will assure you a pass. I don't believe the last question determines if you pass or fail, the percentage overall determines that. I will keep you in my prayers, the waiting for results is the hardest.

I didn't find out my results until 5 days after I had taken the exam, and I passed.:lol2:

Thank you!! I know how you must feel! I kept going onto the ARSBN website to try to locate if I passed or not. I was making myself so sick, it kept saying to search again, and then it said it may take up to 72 hours to post. By taking the exam on a Friday, makes it more nerve wrecking for the wait. I finally, contacted my Human Resource Dept. were I work and they were able to tell me if I had passed or not. Saved me $5.50!:balloons:

Good luck, and I'm sure you passed!!!

Hi and welcome to the board room of all nurses chitty chat! Anyway, when I took the boards I had 150 questions and thought OMG, really OMG!! When the screened closed after the final question...perhaps the wrong answer?!

Well, don't be scared! The test is not graded by percentage of right answers but how each answer, if answered correctly keeps you above the horizontal grid. So if you felt that you were answering most of the questions correctly steadiliy, you most probably passed!!!!

Hi everyone-- I took my test today and I stopped at 96... I thought I'd be more relieved to get it over with but I'm feeling like I wish I was back at the testing center! I wasn't even paying attention to what number I was on... I saw that I was at 65... then I hit 76... I thought I was going to die... and after 80-something I told myself... great, I'm gonna be here for all 265 questions. I kinda freaked out when the test stopped at 96... I'm hoping that the results are good! :uhoh3: I'm a numbers-type of person so I've been driving myself crazy trying to figure out the possible combinations of questions wrong I got (since I didn't stop at 75) with how many I needed from the extra 21 questions they gave me to pass... but I think I'm just desperately grasping at straws to find a way to stay sane! SIGHHHHHH
