Took NCLEX on the 15th, PVT good pop up, license pending on BON?

Published

Hey all, I took the NCLEX on the 15th. It took me 2 hours for 75 questions and the computer shut off... I left there thinking that I had completely failed...

I am very skeptical about the PVT, I did get the good pop up, but I don't trust it 100%...

I checked the Maryland Board of Nursing this morning (17th), my name was up there, but no license #, it says under 'status' and 'checklist' that it is pending... The quick results are still not up as well...

I am in a panic thinking that I have to retake it now... Because a few of my friends who were not successful, their license still says pending after a week...

Any thoughts? And words of encouragement would be great :(

It says pending for everyone who applied! Every state updates differently, I also am waiting for quick results today and mine still says pending. I even know people who passed who still have "pending" because our state is slow :-/.

Hi! Im from md also, how was your test? Im still waiting for my ces report.

This is pure torture.... sigh! lol... Still waiting for my quick results as well...

I thought the exam was quite difficult... I literally blanked on so many questions and felt like I was guessing on all of them and everything that I learned in nursing school just went out the door...

Have you tried the PVT?

I dont have my ATT yet.. Im self studying right now while waiting for my eligibility from bon. Im also waiting for my ces report from cgfns.. Any advice that you can give me? What are the resources that you used for reviewing for nclex? Thanks!

Oh oops! Sorry I misread, I thought you had taken it already. No test is the same, so I can't really say you should study this over that... But I had a good amount of SATA questions, meds, lots of patient teaching, and LOTSS of priority questions. I had a nursing tutor that helped me with NCLEX strategies and I also did a lot of practice test questions. I used a Kaplan review book (I think there were two tests in there, one in the book and one on CD) and Exam Cram-RN by Pearson (There are 5 practice tests in there, but I found a few typos...) Also there was a slideshare that I ran into that had a whole bunch of Kaplan practice questions as well.

And make sure you keep calm! Anxiety is a killer! Go in there and have the mindset that you will take the whole 6 hours and all 265 questions, so that if you do pass 75 questions, you won't go into a panic and start freaking out! Also don't cram, so definitely set up a study schedule and stay dedicated. I would recommend trying a practice test first and see your areas of weakness and write those on a separate sheet of people and review that content.

Good luck! :)

Hey just give it time. I took it on the 15th too for MD BON. I had pending Tuesday morning and then a license # by Tuesday afternoon.

Oh ok.. Thank you so much! Will do that! Congrats is advance for passing the Nclex! :)

So my quick results finally came up, I'm not sure if I want to pay to see it... I'm scared that it will say fail. :(

So I guess the PVT does work! I am still waiting for my license # to pop up on the BON. I caved in and paid the 8 bucks. SO happy I could die right now..

Congrats on passing!!! I just took my nclex today and I am from Maryland too. I got the good pop up when doing the Pearson trick so I'm feeling encouraged. If I did indeed pass, How long can I expect for it to take for a license number to show on the maryland board of nursing?

In my state, my license is not "pending" but my license isn't even showing up on the BON. Everybody in my graduating class who passed has their name on the BON except for me. I just got quick results & it says that I passed my NCLEX. So I'm wondering if this has happened to anybody? You passed your NCLEX but your license isn't even showing up on their state's BON?
