  1. i have an anxiety disorder, especially in completely new situations. i almost didn't go through with my LPN program bc i was too scared & doubted that i could even finish the program, but i did! i'm still learning how to keep my anxiety under control. been 5 years since i got diagnosed & it's still a struggle sometimes. there's only so much you can hold inside before you're about to full-blown have an anxiety attack so i've had to learn to be completely open with my feelings & why i feel anxious. so find somebody to confide in! somebody you know won't judge you, whether it be a counselor, a close friend, a family member, whomever. i also find working out helps me as well. best of luck!
  2. i'm in the exact same boat. i'm totally terrified. i actually got a phone call today for an interview next week at a neuro-rehab unit & i'm so excited, yet completely nervous (that's if i get the job). but when you look for jobs, ask how long the orientation will be. i remember my program director telling us places orientate up to 3 months! that sort of eases my anxiety. but don't stop looking. just fill out the applications/send out resumes, BREATHE, & hope for phone calls for a job!
  3. hello everyone! i passed my nclex-pn last month & have been looking for jobs ever since. finding jobs in MA is difficult, since every job posting i see requires NURSING experience, which i don't have- only 5 years of CNA experience. now i'm running out of places to look, feeling completely discouraged, and just want to stop job searching. one main reason i want to stop searching is bc i'm in the process of applying to the LPN-BSN bridge program at a local university (YAY EXCITING!) & that requires me to take three NLN exams to be considered, plus the huge list of things i have to do in order to get in. i don't want to commit to a full time position if i'm going to have to ask for time off to study & complete my application/materials for the program. now i'm just wondering what i should do? where else could i look for jobs? should i keep looking for jobs? how long did it take everybody to find a job when they passed their boards? clearly, i need some help haha
  4. In my state, my license is not "pending" but my license isn't even showing up on the BON. Everybody in my graduating class who passed has their name on the BON except for me. I just got quick results & it says that I passed my NCLEX. So I'm wondering if this has happened to anybody? You passed your NCLEX but your license isn't even showing up on their state's BON?
