Just took my NCLEX-RN in Makati, Phils last April 3, had tons of SATA (about 10); questions on infection control, prioritization, delegation; couple of drugs (about 5), etc. but no computations, shutdown at 75th question. My last two questions were about SE of drugs. I'm really anxious if I'm going to pass. It was really hard. I really hate those SATAs.
I have to wait for 3-4 weeks for the results because I applied for CA BON. Is there anyway to know if I pass other than wait for the snail mail? The waiting is killing me...
Pls pray for me that will be able to pass. God bless to all!

There is no other way to find out how you did, as you will not be given a license number until you are in the US and ready to begin to work. Please be aware that you will not be considered a licensed RN either in the US as you will not have a license number assigned to you.
Moving this thread to the International Forum since there are some additional facts that you need to be aware of, such as when you get your letter, if you passed, it is only valid for three years and then your file is destroyed. You can read about what you need to do on the International Forum.
There is also no way to second guess your results. The letter is not sent out from Sacramento until about 2 1/2 weeks after the exam, and then you wait for about ten days for the letter to reach Manila and then get sent on from there.
Best of luck to you.

By computations do you mean math or medication conversion questions? From what I understand those are considered very simple questions and most people don't get questions like that. I didn't. I got a lot of infection control questions and all that apply questions also. My guess is you probably passed from your description but just remember most people have the feeling they failed since you really are not getting nearly as many correct as in a typical nursing school exam in order to pass NCLEX. I know the wait is horrible but that is all you can do right now. My question though is that after reading a lot on these forums why do Filipino nurses continue to seek out licensure in California when your file could get destroyed prior to being granted a visa (green card). It is so much easier to go to another state where this is not the case and then endorse over to California when the time comes to enter the US. Just curious.
I am not sure why you are venting about having to wait. This is very well known fact in Manila that CA does not participate in Quick Results, nor do they issue a license when you do not have a SSN#.
There is nothing that you can do but wait, but suggest that you do some reading during this time to see what you are going to need to do to save your NCLEX score since CA destroys your file after three years.
By computations, i mean that I didn't have any mathematical/pharma computations.

Relax and take a breath !!
Look at it this way, you got thru all of those classes that had nothing to do with nursing and then all of your nursing classes. It was a long road to get where your at !! Whats a few more wks ?
Ps I bet you did better that what you think you did :)
After 26 days of waiting for the results from CA BRN, I just got the good news that I PASSED the NCLEX-RN... Thanks for all your prayers.... God is so good!!! All honor and glory are all for Him!!!

congratulations! even if you still dont have your ssn # for you to be able to be RN in california, still you passed the exams. besides the pd is moving. who knows probably retrogression will be over soon.:bowingpur
Sorry, but it is not going to be over soon. There are many more applicants than there are visas available.
Please stick to what the poster is asking, and it has nothing to do with the retrogression. Keep that for other posts so that this remains on topic.
