I took the nclex pn this am, it turned off at 80. I'm freaking out now. Anyone in Southern Cal recommend a hospital to work in? Hope I passed, the wait is stressful. I'm going to go now and camp out at my mailbox for the next few weeks. No quick results in California.

Good luck on your up coming Exam.
How long did you study for? I've been trying but it's so much info. Monday is the big day and I've been on an emotional rollercoster all week.
Passed!

Actually very few hospitals are hiring LVNs any longer, especially since the ratio laws took effect. Most are phasing out the ones that they have and are not hiring new ones.
You may need to look at some LTCs.
Thread moved to the NCLEX Forum since all of you are posting about taking the exam or getting ready to and that means that you are no longer students.
We ask that all questions having to do with the NCLEX exam, be placed under that forum.
Thanks for your understanding on this.
Well no one has answered my questions about the changes, but hopefully it doesn't apply to TX. Just got my ATT today and have 2 weeks to study. Hope I gave myself enough time.:uhoh21:
The exam is a national exam, it is not state specific. So any changes apply to all that are taking the exam.
If you check out the NCLEX Forum, you will find much written on this topic already.
Best of luck on your exam.

took mine on thursday and it stopped at 85 .. i was so unsure what they mean by "hard" questions coz i never encountered any of such that we're brainwrecking.. it's starting to make me nervous, coz if they give you easy questions it means that u got the previous question wrong. i am seriously starting to worry, coz i didn't find it very difficult at all.. it would be such a shame to fail at 85

Hi MiaCary...I'm in Miami too. I take my Nclex-Pn on Saturday. Did you pass? Did you find it too hard?

They are gettin rid of LVN's??? Great...I've taken my NLCEX for the 3rd time and at this rate when I finally pass, if that day ever comes, LVN's will be obsolete!!!
OK so hopefully I was overexaggerating from the stress of waiting 36 days for my results...haha. But it IS harder to get in as an LVN these days and our main hospital out here wont let you work as an LVN unless you are activly enrolled in the RN program (or wokring on your pre-reqs), getting good grades, and promise to have your RN within 5 consecutive years of working with them. Geez. I've had my resume out for almost a weeks so Any day now hopefully:D
