Hello fellow NCLEX takers. I sat for my boards yesterday at noon. The comp cut off at 85 !!! I was in such a daze the hole test. I seriously feel like I only knew 10 answers and the rest I guessed. I got 4-5 SATA, LOTS of rooming in, infecton control, pharm...but no math, and data collection quest. I left the testing center in SHOCK !!! I think im still in shock....I keep going over and over quest. in my head and its driving me crazy. Im from Cali and unfortunately I wont be able to receive my results until 30-45 days :0( via mail. My gutt is telling me that I failed cuz I noticed my quest. kept going back to rooming in and infect. control. Grrr...........................

I took my test Friday and the comp shut off at 85. I left the test site crying. A day later, I'm still crying and vomiting. I did so well in school, but after taking the exam, I feel "stupid". I don't know if I officially failed but honestly feel that I did. I got about 30 pharms, 8 SATA, 10 priorities and 10 infection control (no math). The way the questions were worded, I question if I actually retained or learned anything from school. I feel awful, and I won't start reviewing again until Nov 1st. I've been trying to get on NCSBN to get their NCLEX-PN review link but have not been able to find it. Can anyone please help me this and other NCLEX-PN review sites. For all who pass, congratulations and many sucess:bowingpur. For those who are still waiting for their results, I'll pray you. :redbeathe For those who did not pass or feel as though you didn't, I feel your pain and will pray for you--GOOD LUCK.
Bwaters,
Most all of us feel that we failed after taking that test. The questions are geared so that you only get about 50% right. I got very good grades in nursing school, studied alot before the test, took a seminar, and felt the way you do after it was all over. You need to be strong and believe that you did okay. Be patient and wait for the results, and, in the interim, relax and rest from all your hard work.
It is scary because when you miss so many questions (because of the computer adaptive testing) it feels like you are not getting it.
Hang in there!!!!!:heartbeat

Congratulations lvnhopeful. You are right, I think it was huneyrossi that posted how the site works.
Here is the site so that you can better understand how the test works.

I personally used the Exam Cram from Pearson Vue, i also used Lippincott's and Saunders. And I was blessed that I got to go to a review class. Which was very helpful because I did not go to school at all. It helped me to "skin the CAT." (skin the Computer Adaptive Test) the more you understand it, the better and more confident you are going to tackle it.
