it sounds like she's the one with the problem. our turnovers are notoriously loud - heck, we turn on music (as it helps us to move faster) - and is it really possible to put those step-stools back together without making a complete racket? i don't think so. heck, i cringe when i have to take them apart when they're needed while we're doing surgery!
i think she could have touched base with your emotions before accusing you of being a raving lunatic of rage! she was being presumptuous, and it would have been appropriate to have said so.

Isn't the room turnover usually a bit noisy? I mean, we're dealing with a lot of big, bulky equiptment and it can hardly be helped that it be noisy. So - I was on-call last night and I was trying to get the room turnover done as quickly as possible (I always try to work fast... so sue me) and as I came down the hall with the garbage can, mop, etc., the nurse I work with comes up to me and yells, "if you don't want to be here, GO HOME!". She took me way off gaurd and I just stared at here for a few seconds, wondering where the heck that came from, and she said she could hear me "slamming" things around... well the OR room we had just used is directly behind PACU, so sound is easily heard through there. Anyway, I told her I didn't think I had been "slamming" anything, that I was just trying to clean up (as usual) and was fine to stay and help finish (it was around 11pm). Anyway, it was very tense after that. As hard as I tried, it seemed then that everything I did was too loud. I don't know if it was because it was so late and nothing else was going on in the department, so it seemed louder than normal... I just had to vent a bit here. Has anyone ever had that sort of reaction from someone?
