Too much science...?

Published

hi. i wanted to get some first hand advice from you guys. i sort of set a goal for myself and was wondering if you thought that a&p 1 and microbiology is a death sentence if taken in the same semester?

i plan on going to school through the summer too and i have to take chemistry and then a&p 2. i'm really nervous about the micro and the a&p together because i hear alot about how hard anatomy and physiology is.

the ppl in my class keep telling me how that's way too much science in one semester and to top it off, i also have to get algebra in there and i'm not too swift with mr mathematics.

is it really that hard-is anyone here doing and pulling through well?

tia!

I completed all my requirements a while ago, and I will say that your success depends on what you can bear, I personally thought a&p 1 was easy and found ap 2 a challenge and microbio was easy to me as well, but I struggled through chemistry, so it really depends on your time spent studying and not succumbing to personal life stressors

I'm currently taking A&P, Micro and Molecular Cell Bio and keeping A's in them all. I'm not currently working though I have a son and husband to take care of. If I were working part time, I would probably be able to do A&P & Micro but I also memorize quickly. If you do as well, you should be fine.

It really just depends on you, your study habits, your strength in science. I minored in Biology in college and already have a B.A. This semester I took A&P I, Dev. Psych, and Stats while working 40+ hours/week and having a one-year-old (plus I live 35 minutes from town so I lose an hour each day driving). Next semester I am taking A&P II and Micro and I KNOW it's doable for me--but it really depends on you. I think as long as you have time to put the necessary preparation time in for both classes then it is doable.
