To those that have taken Hurst review

Published

Hello,

I will be taking my NCLEX-RN on the 24th and have been taking the Hurst Review "Q Review" and would just like to know, those of you that have take the this review and have passed the 1st time, what scores have you been obtaining? Or just anyone who is taking this review, what have you been scoring?

The following are my scores (Which i don't really know where I stand)...

1. 77/125

2. 76/125

3. 82/125

4. 75/125

-Thanks

I did Hurst online but I opted to pay the $300 for Kaplan Qbank instead of doing the Hurst questions. 1300 questions that are considered passing level so I felt it was worth it. Testing this week.

Best wishes to ya & thanks for responding.

According to the FAQ on the Hurst website people who pass the first time average around an 84/125. I've taken 2 of them so far and gotten a 90/125 and 96/125. I test on the 28th so I hope to keep improving my scores. Good luck to you!

Hey, I haven't gotten the official pass, but I took the test Tuesday and got the good pop up after 75 questions, so hopefully! :) Anyway, my scores on the Q-Review were as follows (in order): 78, 82, 93, 93, 99, 101

I took the last four the week before the test, after literally having the book memorized front to back "without a doubt/hesitation."

HOWEVER, after taking the test, I wouldn't necessarily worry about having it all "memorized," I didn't have a lot of questions that required me to have "core knowledge," I had more questions that required EXTREME critical thinking and STRATEGY.

My advice to you: When taking practice questions-focus on WHY you are getting the questions wrong (is it a lack of knowledge or something that can be fixed by changing your strategy)?

LaCharity's PDA is a God-send! Get it if you don't have it, and do as many questions as you possibly can from it! And REALLY understand the rationales behind them all.

Good luck! You got this! :)

I'm testing on the 26th, and I've gotten 86,85,84 out of 125 on Hurst q reviews so far.

What else have you been reviewing?

I did the live hurst review, went over the book by myself once, and then did the online videos.... (I have a pretty concrete knowledge base on core content, but I wouldn't say i know the whole book front to back.)

I've been doing ATI (which was given to me through my school) I don't think it is really that helpful, questions are pretty basic and the rationals kind of suck. Don't like it at all, but still going to complete most of the practice exams i guess.

Lippincot Q&A 11th ed, everytime i went over some specific system/disease process in hurst, i would do the questions in this book. (They are pretty hard, scored between 59%-72% depending on subject)

Did some Saunders 5th ed reading.. not much probably like first 200 pages (was really time comsuming) Did some questions on the CD though. Good rationals...

Hello. Im gonna take my NCLEX tomorrow. These are my Hurst Q Review Scores:

88 (70.4%),

81 (64.8%),

81 (64.8%),

76 (60.8%),

78 (62.4%),

91 (71.7%)

Im kinda nervous about my scores. Are my scores ok? Thank you.

I passed in 75 questions and my hurst scores ranged from 88-89/125 correct. don't freak out about your scores! I loved hurst but I found when taking the test that memorizing the core content will only get you so far, you have to be able to critically think (which of course, is easier when you know the core content).
