  1. Honestly, I only had 12 days to study, but I didn't have a choice because of a job offer. One month is the perfect amount of time- you'll have more time to retain information and it won't be so stressful and hard on your brain! Good luck, the most important thing is to take your time during the test and remember to BREATHE! :)
  2. I used everything you used, except for the app, and passed Tuesday with 75 questions!
  3. Got the official word that I passed today!!! :)
  4. Hey, I haven't gotten the official pass, but I took the test Tuesday and got the good pop up after 75 questions, so hopefully! :) Anyway, my scores on the Q-Review were as follows (in order): 78, 82, 93, 93, 99, 101 I took the last four the week before the test, after literally having the book memorized front to back "without a doubt/hesitation." HOWEVER, after taking the test, I wouldn't necessarily worry about having it all "memorized," I didn't have a lot of questions that required me to have "core knowledge," I had more questions that required EXTREME critical thinking and STRATEGY. My advice to you: When taking practice questions-focus on WHY you are getting the questions wrong (is it a lack of knowledge or something that can be fixed by changing your strategy)? LaCharity's PDA is a God-send! Get it if you don't have it, and do as many questions as you possibly can from it! And REALLY understand the rationales behind them all. Good luck! You got this! :)
  5. RonnieDita, It sounds like you are on the right track to me! I don't want to give too much advice until I get official results, so that I can KNOW that I have the right to give advice lol :) the first 10-15 questions were dreadful to me, I had NO IDEA what the answers were (most likely because I was so incredibly nervous), but once I got my first SATA, I calmed down a little and it was semi-smooth sailing from there. It was 100% the hardest test I have ever taken, but I took my time, took breathing breaks every few questions (it took me 2 hours for the 75 questions with the first 6 questions taking me almost 30 minutes :/). I think as long as you study and do practice questions, you will expose yourself to all the different types of questions and topics and be as ready as you can be! Good luck! (your scores were all very similar to mine, so keep on it!) Let me know how it goes :)
  6. Hadassah16, based on the specific set of questions I received; I'm not sure how big of a role Hurst played. It was definitely entertaining and easy to understand so it made studying less dreadful, but it felt to me like no amount or type of studying could have really prepared me for that test. I know that's not what you want to hear (sorry!) but that is honestly how I feel after taking it. If I could go back and study only one thing it would be LaCharity's PDA. Good luck!
  7. Thanks for y'alls advice and words of encouragement! The deed is done! 75 questions and the good pop-up! But man was it hard! my head hurts :/ lol
  8. Thanks for y'alls words of encouragement!! 75 questions and the good pop-up!! :)
  9. Our school did hurst and ati, so I didn't even know about Kaplan until a few days ago :/ I take it in less than 24 hours so I hope I do fine! Really wish I would have known about Kaplan!
  10. Congrats! Was it as horrible as you were imagining it to be?! :)
  11. I am taking my NCLEX tomorrow and I can't help but feel like I am not ready :/ Reading all of the posts, I really wish I would have done Kaplan! All I did was Hurst and all of the Q-Reviews they offer. I did approximately 500 questions from the Saunders online questions, and I did the 180 question practice test from the Kaplan Strategy book, that I just bought the other day, since it seems like most people swear by Kaplan. I also see that people did thousands of practice questions, and I probably only did on the low side of a thousand :/ I also never had time to go over the LaCharity PDA book. Am I doomed for failure? :/
  12. How long until you take your NCLEX? I would say that the online questions are MORE than enough! There's a 1000+ questions for EACH category; so you'll most likely never run out of new questions. I never did and I also used it to study throughout nursing school and I take my NCLEX Tuesday. Unless you prefer studying out of a book, I would say save your money on getting another book, such as Kaplan or Hurst, so that way you can see the different styles and content of questions; because they're all a little different. Good luck to ya!
  13. I take mine Tuesday! Let me know how it goes! Good luck and we can do this!!!
  14. Thanks Y'all! I've been doing yoga and deep breathing exercises to work on my anxiety; I don't think I could have prepared any more than I already have, so I am going in confident! Congrats to you guys who have already finished! Can't wait to be in y'all's shoes! I will let y'all know how it goes :) Prayers would be appreciated!!!
