I've taken the Kaplan Qbank and I would say it was similar to the NCLEX. My problem with Kaplan though is that the rationales were not really detailed. If you want to take a further step up in difficulty AND get detailed rationales (in my opinion, the most important aspect of a review) I suggest giving UWorld a shot. Best wishes!
I took nuclex this past May and used the Kaplan Q Bank questions! I honestly think it depends on which Nclex questions you get! The kaplan q bank questions were relatively easy if you know your content and have a testing strategy. Even when I didn't know the answer to a question on kaplan, my strategy allowed me to rule out at least 2 answers! I used the exact same strategy when I took the nclex. The difference was with the nclex, I had never heard of 50% of the things I was being asked! Still, I stuck with my strategy and trusted it wouldn't fail me, I also prayed a whole lot lol but needles to say I passed on the first try with 75 questions. In my opinion if your are doing well with your q bank Q's, you will rock the nclex!
I recently took the test and used Kaplan. Kaplan's test bank is very helpful, However, while taking the NCLEX, I felt as though Kaplan didn't help much. There seemed to be so many questions that weren't covered in their study info. Just like so many other nurses I've heard from; I was sure I failed the test. However, I passed at the 101 question mark. So, I have to assume that the Kaplan info helped me.
As an FYI, make sure you know you're med classifications. It will definitely help you in the long run. I felt as though there were many questions over meds I had never heard of........ Good luck

Hello! I know this question has been asked thousands of times but I want to know for those who recently took the Kaplan QBank and passed the NCLEX RN, how hard were the questions in NCLEX compared to the ones found in Kaplan Qbank?
I'll be taking my test next wednesday the 16th, so your replies would be greately appreciated!!!
