Was your application packet submitted in November? Are you a new grad that has to go to training after COT or are you an experienced nurse? Thanks.
I'm still waiting for my recruiter to give me that final call..
I was planning on the Jan 10 COT. He said it may still happen. But there is always March.
I am going in as ICU RN. I have my CCRN and have been a nurse for 13 years.
This wait is so difficult! I feel like my life is just in limbo. I'm still working and paying bills, but I need to organize those last few things before I go. lol

Good to know that I'm not the only one that hasn't heard. I will be going in as an ICU nurse too.
Congrats to everyone who has gotten accepted.I just started my application process. I've been an ICU nurse for 2yrs what are my chances of getting an ICU position in the AF..
If you have enough experience I think it's like 6 months to 1 year you can come in with an identifier, in your case 46NXE, that says you can work in the ICU. However, actually getting placed in the ICU depends on your chief nurse/command/space available and your base.

jmaverick,
What did your recruiter say about working cardiac in the military. I am hoping to continue working cardiac-tele. The chief nurse I interviewed with acted like it wouldn't be a problem. I only lack a couple of months before I can sit for my specialty exam. Just curious...Thanks!
