My CPNE is in 9 weeks in Atlanta and I am having trouble staying organized. I will start on one section and b/4 I know it I am somewhere else. Any advice on how to start the study process. I have most of my mneumonics down but I can't stay focused. Any advice would be much appreciated!!! Thanks in advance for your help.:redpinkhe

You're just going to have to force yourself to do it! Break your study guide down into sections and close yourself away from distractions so you can focus on one area at a time. And keep your eyes on the prize.

I would read through the study guide once then focus on one section at a time. Do not let distractions get in your way!!!! I read the critical elements into a tape recorder and listen to them over and over with head phones as I clean the house, do laundry, drive to work. I made my own flash cards for this too. Just going through the motions of making the flash cards helped to remember them. If you can, get help from someone at work to quiz you. Lots of Luck from someone else who is easily distracted.:wink2:

Have you done any exercise? It may calm you down. You seem to be thinking too much. Try to relax and take it easy.
Too funny that you suggested a tape recorder! I have one in my hands right now, just about to start the recording process!! Sorry I didn't reply sooner, kids were home for spring break all week last week. Thanks again!!
You are correct, for the first time in my life I am "Thinking too Much" I will try to take walks between study time maybe that will help!! Thanks for your advice!!
How is it going? Are you feeling more prepared? :)
Things are beggining to fall into place for me. The main thing for me is ORGANIZATION. I have been hitting the books pretty hard and reading this site and the EC site which has been very helpful. I need to start focusing on the lab part which I will start this week!! Thank you for your advice and concerns, the people who participate are so wonderful and very helpful. I will keep you updated. Thanks again Lunah and everyone else!! You Guys ROCK!!!!:bowingpur:bow:

I wish everyone lots of sucess:) We work so hard and go through so much with the EC program that I'd love to see everyone who goes through it pass with flying colors. If you have any helpful study tips, be sure to post them.:bowingpurWe'll all appreciate any advise. LOL!
