Tips for the NCLEX

For a student getting ready to graduate in December, what tips do you have to prepare for the NCLEX?

You may want to check out the NCLEX subforum, which can be found by clicking on the Students tab on the yellow bar across the top. There are many posts with tips as well as opinions on the various review options available.

100-150 questions per day from Saunder's book or Kaplan Q trainer until test day. If you do Q trainer, don't repeat questions that you confidently answered the question right (if you guessed the right answer, then repeat). Consider from the time you graduate until test day as a full time job studying for the exam. I took the test 5 weeks after graduation. I was a hermit for those 5 weeks and passed at 75 questions.

If you have ATI thru your school, do the practice exams. We complained about ATI the whole time and literally tried to get it removed from our program....but after I took NCLEX I was eating crow. It was totally like the NCLEX.

I agree about ATI, it helped me a lot I also used the 2015 Saunders review book to study to the point where I knew it like the back of my hand. When you graduate as hard as it may seem, keep studying hard because it will be harder to get back into the swing of things if you take a break. Im sure your school told you to take your NCLEX asap after you get your ATT because the longer you wait the more info you lose.
