  1. I definitely will do that thank you so much for letting me know
  2. I just heard back today that only some of my classes from Straighterline were accepted because Nightingale said that Straighterline doesn't offer upper level credits only lower level so like my Cultural Anthropology class from Straighterline did not transfer so that was very disappointing.
  3. How do you like the program so far? Are there any pros or cons that you would care to share?
  4. I was hoping to find someone to possibly share expenses with also. So much is still unknown so Im hoping that as time gets closer things will start to come together. I only paid to try to test out of the first one and I failed it. I only got 725 or a 740 ( I don't remember) and I needed a 850 with remediation or a 900 to completely test out. I wouldn't say that the test was particularly hard but it definitely wasn't easy for me and I usually breeze through tests. I've been a nurse for a little over 5 years and my primary job has been a school nurse and home healthcare so my skillset has been limited. I think for someone who has more hospital clinical experience they might do much better than I did. It's not even really a test that you can study for in my opinion and I didn't want to keep wasting money on tests that I had little chance of passing anyway. I was really hoping to test out because that would have been a huge savings of both time and money.
  5. Thank you, I really wanted Las Vegas also and I'm very disappointed that its not an option for us. Im hoping that I don't get sent too far away and that I'm able to afford all of the travel expenses its kind of stressful but I'm hoping for the best.
  6. Im from Southern California and I have officially been accepted and will be starting May 3rd. I just finished 18 more GE credits with Straighterline that I'm going to transfer in. Im very excited to get started
  7. I was just informed yesterday that the current semester is the last semester that Nightingale will be accepting credits from straighterline. I just wanted to post this info for anyone else who might be interested like I was
  8. I live in California and since I'm over 100 miles from any of their clinical locations I can be sent to any of their clinical sites but they try to keep you as close to home as possible. I was told that it would most likely be Salt Lake City Utah because that's where they send most of their California nurses but its not guaranteed. I was also told that Las Vegas Nevada was not an option because they were not accepting California nurses and they also had a waiting list for their clinical. I was hoping to get Las Vegas because I'm close enough to drive there so that was disappointing but I'm still moving forward with the hopes that it all just works out
  9. Thats great, thanks for responding. I sent an email last night and didn't hear anything back yet so this is good to know.
  10. Did anyone take any courses through Straighterline and successfully transfer them to Nightingale College? I'm interested in starting the BSN program at Nightingale College and I'm looking to shorten my time in the program by adding a few more credits before the May start date.
  11. Thank you all, now I'm just trying to decide if I want to make the 5-6 hour drive to get my temp license. I really don't feel like another 3-4 week wait for my license to come in the mail lol. I have already missed out on 2 1 of which I really wanted
  12. I took nclex on 9/22 and got my results today that I passed!!! My son was in the hospital for the last 3 days so it could have been sitting in my mailbox for a while. Good luck to everyone still waiting.
  13. I am a single mother of 5 kids and 1 has special needs so as you can imagine my time is very limited. It was 2 months after graduation that I was able to take my nclex. I felt like I never had time to study. I bought the Saunders nclex pn flashcards and carried them with me everywhere that I went. Always having some type of study material with you can really help alot because you can use any given moment to study/review your material. My son had several trips to the ER and I had my cards with me for the down time there also and the nursed where great resources also. My point is just find the study time when you can :)
  14. I'm also thinking that you must of failed your nclex??? Your post doesn't make much sense.
