Sadly no. I was enrolled to the october 2nd class. I was on a travel assignment and the facility went on strike ,so They changed the shifts we were working for three days . I called the school to let them know the week before school started that for the first three days I couldn't attend live class, but would watch the recordings and complete my work . .They kept telling me the registrar would make a decision. The Tuesday the semester started I called because I still had all my class log in but there were no classes . They told me I would not be able to start this semester and to try again in January . I was very upset at how unorganized things were handled , I quit my full time job to be able to go to this program. I will be returning to my old nursing program instead thats a little longer . My advice is to find another program , nightingale college is a good program that is flexible .

Hello, I never said they are trying to hide information, once I talked to the board PIC confirmed CA requirements will not be met . The point is if a school is marketing themselves to be a hybrid program , accepting out of state students and have federal student aid approval , it is their responsibility to have the knowledge of state requirement's and disclose the risks to potential students . Yes I too know many nurses from florida that have been endorsed , their schools met the required classes. It seems not everyone understands the difference from passing the NCLEX and actually being qualified to be licensed in your state . The reason I wrote on this post was not to debate but to inform. Hello , Sorry I did not make it more specific , I also did not say there was a hybrid program in California. What I meant is other hybrid programs ( Nightingale college and ICHS ) meet all requirements for CA . Speech needs to be taken somewhere else . Also for anyone who has already taken anatomy and physiology , you have to take a competency test and pass with a 70% or higher to be credited for those classes .

Hello everyone, if you're a California applicant please do your research. Like everyone else any school that is online with no waitlist seems perfect . I have contacted the school multiple times to make sure their program will be compatible with CA requirements , each time I was told there are plenty of California students in the program .Earlier this week I spoke with the BON regarding Licensure by endorsement and was told to be endorsed California education requirements still apply. I reached out to the school sent them all the proof and links. I had my meeting with the school and finally got a straight answer . The program is only set to meet Florida license requirements, any out of state student must complete their state requirements on their own. The school does not offer speech , which is a requirement for CA also potential students need to make sure the clinical hours meet requirements. Most hybrid programs that are available meet California requirements because they know the majority of their students live there . This can still be an opportunity for someone , please just make sure that you have everything you need to get your license where you live !

Hello, I’ve worked with multiple California RN’s that went to the school and took the NCLEX , that’s how I found out about the program . As long as a school has the correct accreditation and meets Microbiology and communication requirements (California is one of the few states that require those ) it is eligible to take the NCLEX here .there are plenty of groups on facebook you can join that’s full of California students , a great place to find out more info from current students like myself and graduates of the program .

Hello, I used the last of my financial aid loans which did not cover the whole program . They accept outside student loans if you can find one not just sallie Mae . I couldn’t get a loan so the school did a in-house loan through a third party they use . I’m only paying 250 a month for that loan .

I initially made this post to bring awareness that this school existed since California schools have been so Impacted for years . Just like any other college this program has its pros and cons but it is doable . Im in my 3rd semester I’m a travel LVN that lives near sacramento I’m working 48-70 hours a week , splitting time between my kids,home and hotel and still able to complete my courses.everyone experience will be different it’s not completely self taught . We have lectures and meetings and plenty of tutoring if needed . To me it really comes down to how bad somebody wants this . I was a CNA for years trying to get into impacted RN programs and decided on lvn to get my experience . Now I’m in this program and will be finishing soon while some of my friends are still trying to apply to local colleges. Put in the work and get it done .

I have met CA nurses and work with a few that have graduated from the school. California’s BRN list is for California schools . Nightingale is not actually located in CA . It’s not an LVN to BSN program , but you can get time and credit taken off if you are a LVN and also testing out our courses . Your tuition will depend on what you transfer in .

A very good amount of time . I reached out to them about my fall clinical schedule(we are still in Summer session) and they gave me my fall schedule . For my clinical next month I have the actual dates and it’s only 5 days

Hey ! I’m liking the program so far , it uses the same canvas program as my local college . I was looking into both programs , but ultimately decided to go with nightingale because it’s BSN and where I live that’s most jobs requirements and it was more affordable for me .The schools staff is always helpful whenever I have questions . Also one big major plus is that California BON said the program is approved and meets its licensure. A little update for California students I was able to get my clinical for Nevada instead of Utah!

No I totally get what your saying , this was deff my feelings while researching schools . I chose nightingale because it was a good fit for me , still being able to work full time and do a BSN program . The big factor I think a lot of people are missing is that this is a online program with in person clinicals. The program has the same exams style as regular programs , they use HESI. Would I recommend the program to someone with no medical experience no. Because it is online it’s literally based on what the student is putting in. When it comes to NCLEX rates especially for a school like this I feel like it’s more on the student .

Hello , I am a current student and an LVN, I work with nurses that went to this school as well. I live in the state of California where RN programs are impacted and the chances of getting in are slim. This post was intended to connect students and also to inform others of a possible opportunity to go to the next level. From what you just posted, I have no knowledge of that not saying it didn’t happen . But I know for a fact I never signed that kind of contract or know anyone that has either .

Hey ! the program is pretty much what you would expect from an online program. You do the work , you get the grade . Most of the classes consist of 1 discussion post, activity , lab and quiz weekly. It’s very doable. I was looking into the school in florida as well but decided on nightingale because it’s a BSN and also they actually answer the phones and supportive .

Actually they voluntarily withdrew from ACEN because they no longer offer the ADN program . Nightingales BSN program is accredited by CCNE . ACEN and CCNE are both the standard for nursing school accreditation.
