Check on the CA Board of Registered Nursing web site under permanent license verification. I took my NCLEX and was listed on that web site 2 days later. It took about 3 weeks to get my RN license in the mail.

If you are waiting for results as an LVN, it can be 4-8 weeks. If you pass and pay the fee then they post your lic. some of my class mates had results in 3 weeks, however I'm still waiting ,3 weeks and 3 days. The board will not post for LVN quick results. Good luck!!:Crash:

Please remember California is a big exception to a lot of other states! After you take the boards it takes usually around 4 weeks for them to mail you a pass or fail letter. After you mail this back in with your fee it takes another 3 weeks or so for them to mail your license, and around that time is when they will post your name on the site. California likes to make sure they get their $ before they say you have passed.
Good luck and let us know!

I would recommend calling the CA BRN. That is what I did. I took my test with 5 others from my school in Santa Maria. Everybody else had their results posted within two weeks. I called and a very nice lady answered. I explained my dilemma and asked if there was a problem with my application. She verified my SSN, then "unofficially" told me there was no need to worry, and that my transripts still needed to be verified. Received my card in the mail a week and a half later...total time 3 and a half weeks. Stay hopeful.
