Time has come! Cerified Letter from BON

Nurses Recovery

Published

Hi everyone. My time has come after 3 1/2 years. I have a certified letter from the MS BON that I haven't picked up yet. I am friends with the lady at the post office and she texted me. I am so nervous!! I pray is monitoring and not suspension or revocation! How may of you heard from the BON via certified letter? Thanks

I am awaiting my contract from the TX BON and I am told it will come certified. However, I am not familiar with MS.

Good luck and I know you must be at least a little relieved that you will FINALLY have some answers.

Keep us posted!

Thank you! I pray it’s a monitoring contract and nothing worse

The letter stated I have a settlement conference with the Board in Jackson on October 8 at 830am

Did anyone else get notified this way?
The few people I have spoken with who have experienced this say that most likely if the board was going to revoke my license or suspend it - they would have stated to stop working in immediately.
Mine didn’t say that so hopefully it will be minoring!!

Should I seek a lawyer? I’ve already given a statement to the investigator years ago

It couldn't hurt to have an attorney on your side when you meet with the board. But, a settlement conference sounds to me like they have an order ready and want you to sign? I am not sure.

I am guessing if they were suspending/revoking, they would have sent a cease practice letter. But, that is ONLY my opinion.

I'd definitely have an attorney, one that is familiar with administrative process and licensure issues, with me. When you retain them, give them a copy of the letter and see if they can answer your questions.
