Tidewater Community College Spring 2021

Nursing Students School Programs

I could not find a board started for the Spring 2021 school year at Tidewater Community College. Just thought I'd open one up for any applicants on here.

@Kaitlyn. No but I went and checked it out! Thanks for sharing! Pretty cool.

@RachelPk trust me, I know... I think about that a lot. I’m surprised I haven’t heard anything back from Alicia yet about it

@Khaleesi24 yeah same here. Honestly, I don’t think she’s gonna reply back possibly because they haven’t decided yet or it’s not something they can share with us. Just an assumption... 2 more weeks to go. I keep thinking about getting the white envelope in my email or something LOL

Hey all, trying to hang in there as well! I’m so scared ? it’ll be soo disappointing to have been doing all this waiting and anticipating to end up getting a white envelope in the mail. I keep getting all these no picture mails and they are all random ads! ?

I know!! No picture email is better than getting a white envelope email right? Haha

Haha that is true! Informed delivery is playing games with my feelings

So, I looked over the last nursing forums to get an idea of who got in who did not and found out that TCC normally take only 30 seats per semester. It was 60 seats in Spring 2020 and IDK how it got doubled (they somehow found out about it). The seat availability for Fall 2019 was 30 and 60 for Spring 2020 (not sure about Fall 2020 because there were only a few conversations). Based on the forums, people got their letters on 18th -20th (I’m guessing it takes 3-5 business days from the day they mail out).

Wow, okay, thanks for that information! I had a dream last night that I saw the white envelope in my USPS delivery email -__-

Specializes in CMA.

Yea that sounds about right for fall 2020. They had a facebook group that went private after people got their letters.

@Khaleesi24 hahaha don’t!! you are traumatized! But, I totally get what you are going through. You are not alone!!

@Kaitlyn. yeah also, the more we complete our pre-req & co-req, we are more likely to get in  and as long as we pass the 45th percentile for HESI like pass/fail.

I'd love to know what that 45th percentile is but if I remember a previous post she wasn't allowed to reveal that until after the the letters are sent out ?

Yeah the class average was 77.71 (got it from the elsvier website along with my test score) and the 45th and percentile should be 1-3 points lower than that.

Ah OK makes sense so should be cut off anywhere between 76ish  down to 74
