Tidewater Community College Spring 2017

Published

Hey everyone! I'm turning in my application this July for the spring 2017 start! I'm so excited! However I will have one class in progress (microbiology) and was wondering if anyone knows if this will hurt my chances of getting accepted. I'm going to take my HESI mid June so I don't have that score yet! Any help or advice is appreciated!

As long as you take the significant amount of time to prepare yourself with the practice book they recommended I feel confident that you will do fine. Just don't procrastinate on studying the way that they ask the questions on the test are very similar to that in the work book.

Good luck! Keep us updated

I just got done with my Hesi. Received an 84%!! I feel good about it. The building ac was broken and that was probably the worst part!! But all in all I feel like a have a good shot of getting in.

Does anyone know if having a bachelors degree already help with your chance of being accepted?

Congratulations! That is an excellent score! How long did you study for? Any suggestions or feedback about the test? I know you can't give specifics but any tips are so appreciated

On the application it asks, so I would say yes it does help

i studied on and off for probably a month, but the last two weeks is when I buckled down. I studied every night for about two hours. I would say anatomy had me

a little worried because there were questions that weren't in the review book. Everything else was straight from the book. Good luck

How long did you make your letter?

Hi and thank you, I finished all of my pre-reqs with all B's in all my science courses and one A and one C. Now my Hesi score is on the lower end with 77 and I can't retake it until February. So all I could do was write a letter of reconsideration so we shall see what happens!

Sorry the previous comment was for this post! I also have to write a letter so I was just curious how long it was!

Whew!! I almost had a heart attack--lol

I only made it one page long. I worked administration while in the Navy and generally over one page is too much. Especially in this case being that they are going to review all of these applications.
