Tidewater Community College Spring 2017

Published

Hey everyone! I'm turning in my application this July for the spring 2017 start! I'm so excited! However I will have one class in progress (microbiology) and was wondering if anyone knows if this will hurt my chances of getting accepted. I'm going to take my HESI mid June so I don't have that score yet! Any help or advice is appreciated!

I really want to start in January so if i could take it more than once a year I totally would if I didn't do well the first time around! I'm mostly worried about the chemistry portion

hello everyone! I am also going to be turning my application in for the spring start! I finished all my pre-reqs, just have to take the HESI A2. I did invest in the hesi study guide, from what I have read its very good for everything except science---I would look at threads for other resources. I am personally going to go back through my anatomy book and some you tube videos. I hope to take the test by the end of June. my grades are all A's and 2 B's for English 111 and 112.

GOOD LUCK and finger crossed !! I can't wait for us all to share our experience.

Hey!

From the looks of it you should have no problems getting accepted! As long as you get a good score on the HESI. You can take my word for it as I'm starting this Fall í ½í¸‰

Its nice to see this thread has already been started. I'm looking to apply for Spring 2017 Nights/Weekends since I'm active duty. I'm currently enrolled in A&P1 and have completed all of my required classes with the exception of A&P2. I haven't taken my HESI yet; kinda waiting until the last minute. I have all A's and 2 B's (one of them being from Micro). Fingers crossed I get accepted, but I'm super nervous!

Hello! I am currently retaking 141 right now! I got a B in 142 and have to take micro still. I will be applying with out a class completed. Good luck! I hope we both get in!

Awesome! Good luck to you too. I'm doing the night class with Bawcom at VB campus and right now have a solid B after the midterm. Hoping I can do a little bit better during the 2nd half to bump it up to an A. I plan to take the Hesi right after finals since applications are not due until August 15th.

I'm taking it at the VB campus as well Tuesdays and thursdays! I have an A in the class thankfully! I'm also taking my HESI last minute haha I'm so nervous about it

I am waiting until the last minute to take the hesi--I have been studying on and off--I need to focus!! Just to make sure--we can take by August 15? I plan on taking it at the end of july(I wanted to take it by the end of June--buuut,I was enjoying my break from class)

Yes before 8/15 I'll probably take mine 8/12 cause my summer class ends Aug 2nd or 4th. Something like that! I'm so nervous. I hope I get a good grade on the hesi and that's enough to get me in even though micro won't be completed

Hey! I am a new student at TCC and I'm hoping to apply in January for a Fall 2017 start. I've downloaded and printed the program packet but I'm getting mixed information when I actually speak to people about the requirements. Prior to applying, which classes need to be done? The only pre reqs that I still need to take are Microbiology, A&P 1, and A&P 2. I'm taking Micro and a&p1 this fall. The application packet only mentions needing Micro prior to applying. Can anyone who recently applied or was recently accepted clear this up for me?

You should try to have all pre reqs done before applying but if you're missing one you might still have a chance if your grades are good and your hesi score is good. Like I said before, I'll be applying with out micro completed.

I agree, I applied before without having all my prerequisites and didn't get in. It actually took till my 3rd time after applying twice without having all my classes and improving my HESI score but I already kept in mind that my chances wouldn't be so good without those classes. You can apply as long as you have all but one prerequisite and your chances will be great as long as those classes your grades are As and Bs and your HESI score is as well.
