Tweety hope you sleep better tonight.  I sometimes find fasting agitating, but other times it can be calming

Dianah I have been trying some new recipes from Cooking Light magazine, have a lot of old copies

Stars a small dog like that would be more manageable

Work was slow most of yesterday.  There was excitement at the end of the day when I had a patient with suicidal ideation, but thankfully no plan.  He agreed to call a crisis hotline,  and I called his doctor and attorney so they could follow up with him.  Was glad that I could help someone, often this  job is a lot of routine follow up calls

The rest of the day was pretty quiet, did grocery shopping and laundry

Have virtual counseling over lunch, for the first time in over a month.  Otherwise it should be a normal day

Going to be much cooler today, in the low 70s

Hi, it's cool and overcast, again. The sun peeked out a little yesterday. I volunteered at the demo garden in the morning, then worked in my own garden in the afternoon. We went out to eat and I had some nice veggie samosas with a spicy mango sauce. It was very good.

No big plans for today, other than going for a quick jog. I should chase the vacuum around and sweep up the spruce needles from the driveway and porch steps. Exciting things. I filled out adoption application papers for the Humane Society. The only dogs they show available are young, big and boisterous, that I don't think I'm up for.

Hello all!

I've done a couple errands, and then after lunch took the car to one of those do-it-yourself car washes.  Well, almost.  One remains in the car while it goes through the car wash for the exterior, and then parks it in a stall and does the detail work: drying the exterior and wheels, vacuuming and cleaning the inside, doing windows.  Will see what else I find to do...

It's a nice 82 degrees out.  We have a few tomatoes on the bush but they seem to be taking their sweet time ripening, and there are lots of blossoms but not a lotta tomatoes!  Last night I made a salad out of store-bought cucumbers, grape tomatoes, and red onion, and added fresh basil and bell peppers, then squeezed lemon over it and sprinkled some salt.  It was good!

Not much else going on here.  Have a good evening!

G'day.

I worked today and was a "free charge" but it was busy.

Back tomorrow for more.

Good luck with the dogs Stars and J22.  I wouldn't want a big dog either.

Good evening.

Spouse is on a red eye flight back from the visit.  It will be nice to have adult company again.

I saw a few pics of the girl-dog. She's a blonde with the usual white forehead and snout markings. Actually in the pics, she doesn't look as mini as some mini's I've seen, but that's okay. Maybe her legs are longer than I pictured at first, but at 3 + 1/2 lbs, she can't be much! Anyway, not this weekend, but the following one, my friend and her hubby will be bringing the dog up here to us.

My younger brother sent me a text which read something like this: "Just one more 'thing' for you to take care of, like you really need that. Ahem. I'm just sayin'."

Well,  I just want a warm sweet animal to love close up and personal. I think I need it, and I think I deserve it! I just love animals so much! After the 'adjustment period' (and even during) I really believe we will reach a good place with one another.

Oh listen to me all excited, for a change!
