Tweety glad the concert was good even if the drive was long

Ado hope next week's move goes well

Stars here's hoping he'll stick with his plan to start the taper

NJ22 I would have a hard time  paying attention if someone talked that long

Dianah  hope you sleep better tonight

Morning was slow at work but picked up in the afternoon, which caused me some  stress as I wanted to have time to help others at the end of the day.  Did manage to do so but it was a bit of a rush.  Have to change my attitude and not expect to have extra time at  the end of the work day

Need to change my attitude in general, and put greater emphasis on staying calm.  I have not been prioritizing that for a while, and I can feel it having an impact

The Zoom meeting went well, a small group will meet every week (though perhaps less often later) and work on a presentation. Also went grocery shopping

Tonight will exercise then participate in another vestry meeting, this time via Zoom.  A bit annoying as we just had  one last week

Will be in the 50s today,  will be in the 60s by this weekend

Joe, true to your pattern you stress and get all anxious but then "did manage to do so..."

My approach to my work day is that it is going to suck.  ?

Stars, straight from  the doctor's office to the liquor store.  I knew there might be a let down, but that was quick.  All the best.

Good morning!

Wow, slept well last night!  and slept in!  Such a relief.

Had a nice walk yesterday with my friend S.  We walked in a hilly park for almost 1.5 hours, and had a nice chat.  Maybe that is part of why I slept so well!  After the walk, my hip was hurting, so I took two Ibuprofen.  Hip feels well this morning, maybe I need to just (duh!) take a painkiller when it hurts, LOL!  Hmmm: long walk, hip works hard, gets inflamed, take meds for the pain!

Today I may get the sewing machine out and make the new kitchen curtains.  I went to the grocery store yesterday after my walk, so that's done.

I will check back during the day, for updates from y'all.

Have a good day/afternoon!

OKAY! Hubby took the 1st two Librium taper capsules last night before bed, and another two this morning, and 2 just a short while ago; then he will take another 2 at bedtime. w00t! Anyway, he has another appt with PCP tomorrow at 11 AM, which I will also attend. Not sure how the pill actually affects him; all he said when I asked how he felt, he gave me a tentative, "Okay, I guess."

Nannie is having a time with the remote on her recliner. She was holding it and had her finger on one of the buttons, but the chair wasn't moving. I asked he if she was needing to get up to the bathroom, but she said no. Then she kept trying different buttons. "What are you trying to do?" ---the answer was several phrases of verbal salad, and pointing at her room and then the TV and finally said she was trying to figure out how to "turn it off."  Well, you don't turn anything off with that remote, just set it down beside you and let it be. (!)

I ran over to Walmart Pharmacy to pick up a refill for me; thought Nannie had one but they said no. Tomorrow I'll have the Dr's office call in that one med she is low on, and will have to make her an appt to see the doc so he can call in the 4 or 5 that need to be "re-authorized", and have the pharmacy save them until next refills are needed.

I have to remake Nannie's bed where the only thing she got wet was the top-sheet. She had also pulled off two blankets and tossed them aside, but doesn't remember why or when she did it. I found another stash of used pull-ups and pads, and reiterated that she needed to put them in a wastebasket instead of rolling them up and "hiding" them. She told me they were already there when she moved into that room. Okay, then. I told hubby I was going to have to search through her room to see if I can find any more.

It's about time for the dreaded supper query, but hubby just came down to the den and put his 02 nasal canula (two N's or one?). He said, "Boy that medicine makes my head feel screwy." and he said yes, it makes him sleepy. I said that hopefully the side effects will decrease over the next few days. I'm glad he has that appt tomorrow. The doc had told us to set up that appt as we were leaving the exam room. The girl out at the desk said he did not have any available appts. I told her what the doctor said: "If they tell you I don't have any appts available for Friday, tell them to write you in for 11 AM. I want to see you then." The next one after that will be next Tuesday; he said he wants to see hubby every three days to track how he is doing with the taper.

OK. I am on my way to go get some supper. He asked for Pot Pies from KFC. I said okay, but will not tell him that I don't want their pot pies; I'm going to get something else.

Later!

I dropped my car off at the repair place last night. They looked at it and said it needs a wheel bearing replaced and an alignment. It’s going to cost about $650. And they have to wait for parts. Youngest ds son drove me to work and will pick me up today and tomorrow. OCD coworker is really in a manic phase today. Our poor supervisor is trying calm her down and get her to focus. Argggh.
NSAIDs are really useful drugs, in my opinion. Good to see you slept well, Dianah.
imI see that NoStars is posting, be back later.

Finished the population & sampling and the chart abstracted measures. The worst part of that is the sampling for ER throughput. Have to submit 96 randomly selected charts.

Still need to complete the CLABSI and CAUTI data for NHSN (0 as we very rarely have central lines and even foleys are not that frequent) and the validations for them, plus update our staff covid vaccination rate (lousy).

Tomorrow afternoon is the ribbon cutting and open house for the public.

My book club is meeting tonight to have a bonfire (fortunately, the burn ban has been lifted) and tell ghost stories. I'd like to go, but it is at least a 45 minute drive. If Hubs or Twin B would be willing to take care of dinner for everyone else...

Stars, I'm glad your dh has started the librium, and that the doctor is insisting on keeping tabs on him. Gma hides her used pull-ups, too, if no one is there to supervise. Hubs puts pads between the mattress pad and the fitted sheet, then on top of the sheet, trying to contain any wetness and protect the mattress.

I woke up with foley after my pacer upgrade last month. That thing hurt! I didn’t realize I had one at first and was clenching to avoid wetting the bed. She took it out 1 hour before I could get out of bed (more ouch!) then said I had to void before I could leave. I may have told a little fib so that I could go home. It continued to hurt and I was  afraid I had a cauti, but it eased up.

Book club was a gas. Glad I went.

The only time I had a Foley was when I had the C-section. It was uncomfortable before surgery but I didn't even notice it after the spinal anesthesia wore off. They took it out the next day and I'd been given loads of fluids since I lost so much blood. So I was up to pee a lot.
