Tweety glad you're feeling better

Stars I hope they can find you some respite care

Dianah hope you don't have to go to jury duty

NJ22 that's a lot of meetings

Was looking to be a quiet day at work yesterday, had a side project to work on but even with that I thought I'd have time free to help at the end of the day.  But a new case came in, thankfully a fairly simple one. Done on time but no free time

After work was quiet, just stopped at the library and exercised

Today likely will be quieter at work unless I get yet another new case.  Will have some loose ends to tie up before I leave as I have tomorrow off. Nothing planned after work except exercise

Will be a bit warmer today, in the low 50s, with a slight bit of rain

Good morning.

Joe, hope you have a quiet day.

Nothing much going on here.  Waffles let me sleep an hour late.  Since I happened to be up I checked into a staff meeting via teams on my phone.  No big relations there just reminding us to about our charting, to not drink at the nurses station, and what our future goals are.  The good new was the organization met their goals for 2025 we we're getting a $1000 bonus.

I'm pretty much myself and whatever bug I had Tuesday is passed.

Have a great day

I like that, Tweety: "I'm pretty much myself."  There are days when I can say this, and days when it does not apply.  😉  Glad you are feeling better.

In spite of taking a sleep aid last night (so I would sleep before getting up early for jury duty), I slept probably four hours.  Then I was up and getting ready.  Alarm clock needed new batteries -- dh did that for me.  I prepared a little backpack as my purse/activity center (magazines to read, a crossword to do, my Kindle to read with and to do spider solitaire, etc.) -- plus water and some grapes.  I hit a little traffic on the way in, but I arrived around 8:05 (supposed to arrive at 8:15).  Went through security, then on to the jury assembly room.  When I checked in, I asked about being permanently exempt from jury duty, as I am over 70 and have a couple medical conditions that may interfere with my service.  The clerk was very helpful, and completed the paperwork (on the computer), then handed me a slip with verification of exemption; I should receive a permanent card in the mail.  SOOOOOO, that is DONE!  What a relief!  No more stressing over cases!!  (Dh would have been interviewed for a triple murder case!  I just couldn't!)

I see a nap in my day's activities...  I was going to get a nice decaf latte, then reminded myself I have all the fixin's at home, so when I got home and changed into comfy clothes, I made me a chocolate decaf coffee latte (with real cream) -- and stevia.  Am enjoying that now.

We were asked to provide two Christmas songs for the little Christian TV station, for their Christian Connections (live) program, Tuesday Dec. 2.  Bass player is able to help, we are still waiting to hear from our fiddler.  Dh and I have done this with just the two of us; if we have any more of the band, be it bass or fiddle or both, we feel lucky!

Rain is a'comin'!  Should start this afternoon.  It is cloudy and cool out -- mid-50's.  I see Hawaii (the Big Island) got snow before Colorado??  Interesting!

Have a good day/evening!

G'morning!

Yesterday was sunny and windy. The clouds are back, but it's still dry. There is lots of snow in the mountains. They were so pretty yesterday with the sun shining on them. We all hope it stays up there and adds to the snow pack that has been so deleted for the last few years.

I should harness the puppies and take them for a walk. We dropped off stuff at the Humane Society thrift store last week, which means I need to start gathering another pile, or just toss some stuff. And I'll do some knitting before the sun goes down.

The oldest ds and dd are stepping up to make most of our Thanksgiving meal, but it will be at our house. So all I will be responsible for is green bean casserole and cleaning the house. I got really upset last year because I get so wiped out from cleaning on Wednesday, then cook all day Thursday, and then am too tired to visit with my family. dh's idea of cleaning house is to straighten the garage. I can't believe I used to do it all and work, but those days are gone.

A $1000 bonus sounds very nice! And a permanent exemption from jury duty seems like a good idea. I would worry about falling asleep, which is something I do with prolonged sitting, LOL.

Mushroom and olive pizza sounds good. As does a latte, even if it's decaf. Last night Twin B made the soup with cauliflower, pumpkin, Italian sausage, etc. He didn't like it very much, thought maybe he added too much curry powder. I brought some for lunch today and thought it was really good. Yes, Tweety, with the ~30-lb weight loss, he is just over 300 lbs. Twin A doesn't weigh quite as much, but would still be considered obese, I'm sure. Meanwhile, Hubs is bragging about weighing <180 lbs for the first time in many years.

Hubs was talking with the hospice people today and they are going to try again to have Gma (I don't know what she weights but expect it's less than 100 lbs) spend a week at a nursing home for "respite" -- which absolutely sounds like the best solution for Nannie while Stars has eye surgery. I might take a couple of days off that week, too.

Next Monday I'm scheduled to have the "YAG" laser treatment to remove the film behind the lens capsule that they say is a common thing after cataract surgery (mine was 4.5 years ago on that eye -- don't know when the other eye will be ready). It is supposed to be a quick and easy procedure. I'm assuming I can drive myself, unless someone tells me otherwise. I drove myself the day my detached retina was discovered and lasered.

I think my sister might have that shirt.
