Tweety that exhibit sounds interesting

Ado I hope the internet is fixed soon

Dianah that seems like a very awkward process

Stars that was good that she could sell the gun collection for you

NJ22 that is true, I don't like to leave stuff for tomorrow, though I probably should do that more often

Did not have to leave anything for  tomorrow or work late yesterday,  although it was busier than expected with the new case and continuing pharmacy

issues, which seem to  have been resolved

And I finally heard from CarMax, going over there tonight after work for the test drive.  Glad that the process is nearing completion

After work after doing the laundry and grocery shopping I cleaned out the old car of most of my stuff so it will be ready for the trade in.

Going to be a warmer day today in the upper 40s, will be raining this evening and almost all of tomorrow

Sunny and 60 degrees today. Momo has had her breakfast. I have to get dressed and go downstairs to get Nannie up. Going to do my bedding laundry, collect the trash and recycling to put out on the curb for tomorrow AM's pick-up, and make a few phone calls (again) to see if I can get the tax-prep lady on the phone. I won't even bother with the IRS because they don't keep any tax forms past 6 years and I need the one from 7 years ago. Maybe will thin out hubby's clothes to donate, and he has a lot of shoes and 'cowboy' boots which someone will be glad to get. Other than that, I guess I will come across other things to do around the house, none of which excite me, but I will just go with the flow and see what I can get up to.

Hello all!

Joe, good the car swap will soon be done!  It will be good to have a newer car!  Excited for you!

No Stars, your day sounds full already!  Give Momo scritches for me, please!  And your neighbor is nice to sell off the guns for you!

Today I need to get to the grocery store, and mail something out.  We didn't have the soup last night, dh wanted just sourdough toast with butter and molasses.  Done!  I had an apple, cheese, and crackers.  Good enough!  Youngest son and his wife are flying out today, get to see them tomorrow, yay!  I already mailed their Christmas packages.  I was going to give them to them while they were here visiting, but then they would have to fit them in their luggage for the return flight!  Nah, don't make them haul the gifts around with them!  So I mailed 'em.

Have a good day!

I cleaned off the bed in hubby's room, and I am washing some of the clothes I will be donating. Sorted out a bunch of unidentified power plugs, some for devices, some not. He had NINE pairs of cowboy boots in the bottom of the closet, a pair of serious work boots, a pair of loafers, a pair of dress shoes, and 2 pair of slippers that are practically new. I threw away his old, cruddy, flat, and blood-stained pillows. (It was old blood that wouldn't wash out from all those falls he took, and yet he still wanted to keep using them.) I haven't taken anything off the hangers yet. And yes I have been checking pockets, and found nothing so far but one used paper-towel.

I do plan on having someone get rid of the double-sized box-Spring and mattress from up there. Until then I will put a cover over the mattress so it doesn't look so bare. The woman who wants the twin bed frame (w/ box-Spring and mattress) and the dresser,  is still trying to coordinate with her friend who has a truck; wish they'd get on the stick! They have to come get them soon, because after I clean up hubby's room I will be attacking the so-called guest room, where no one has slept for at least 10 years.

I have no idea how old that king-size mattress is, nor how it 'sleeps'. And I'm willing to bet that the sheets and bedspread will need washing, since that bed has held so many boxes and so much junk....and ten years w/o washing the bedclothes is a little much, doncha think? Probably will need to throw out the pillows on that bed too, because this family I married into seems to think pillows last a lifetime, and they are all so flat and heavy! Wouldn't want to put my head on an old pillow that others have slept on for YEARS! Yech!

I did get my laundry and clothing done; plus fitted sheet and pillow cases washed and dried already, and back on my bed. (I don't use a top sheet, just my '3-season down-blanket' over me.) And I am going to be looking for a new twin mattress for my sturdy platform bed, that son-in-law made per my request MANY years ago. The mattress I am using now came from the twin bed that our friend wants, but it is older than God's dog, It is canvas covered, with who-knows-what kind of filling ... no springs, no foam, nothing soft. It's very firm, and I like a firm mattress. The only reason I am using that one is because the mattress I had on my platform bed originally was, oh, about 25+ years old, and sags in the places where I sat up in bed reading for all those years.

Washer is on the spin cycle and I have one more load to wash. There will be more laundry, once I take everything off the hangers in hubby's closet. But I'll save that fun for another day. Oh, and since tomorrow is trash and recycling pick-up day, I've got to get that stuff corralled and out to the street. Will have to be waking Nannie up soon for her supper. I had a combo lunch/supper an hour ago, a smoked salmon sandwich with avocado mash, on very high fiber bread.

Tomorrow is Momo's vet appointment. I kind of dread it.

G'day.

Worked today and was in charge with no patients.  Immediately sent a patient to ICU that wasn't doing very well.  It wasn't too horrible after that, just busy with lots of discharges and admissions.

I haven't washed the sheets or comforter in my spare bedroom in a few years.  I wash them when I have a guest.

I upchucked my guts out this morning after I ate.  I mean everything and then some.  Felt okay though and was fine all day.  Something just came over me and passed just like that.  All right then.

Have a great evening.

Hi. Quiet day. The roofers are done, now waiting for the gutter people to come. The electrician did the necessary repairs outside. The power was disconnected for about 4 hours and I was afraid the house would get cold, but it stayed comfortable. Another day with a high temp of 40. It's raining now. The ceiling fan came too late for the electrician to install. Oh well. Tomorrow, the fireplace people are coming to see why it doesn't come on. I think when the power went POP the other day and the fan and garage door opener quit, that the fireplace was affected. It's going to cost $180 for the service call and diagnostics. oof.

Good work, NoStars, on working through stuff. That's pretty nice that you have someone dependable to sell the guns. Is there a consignment shop you can take the cowboy boots?

Tweety, that sounds like a decent day, like what, 1 every 2 weeks. I hate throwing up. I vomited so much when pregnant, that just thinking about it makes me urp. And when people in hospital got sick, they always wanted you to see it as some sort of proof. See it, or feel it. YUCK!

I think my car insurance lets me upload photos direct, too. Hopefully, that is not necessary anytime, soon.

I hate throwing up. I'm glad you didn't feel sick all day.

I once had a patient who lost her dentures in the emesis bag when she threw up. She obviously expected me to do something about it so, yep, I put on gloves and fished in the bag for the dentures. But just hearing someone heaving is enough to make me want to do it, too.

Stars, you're really making progress.

J22, sorry about all the accidents your house is having ?. Right before Christmas, too. Great time for unexpected expenses.

Twin B got called in to work last night and tonight. This evening I put together a door decoration for Christmas. We're having a contest at the hospital. I *think* it's going to look pretty good. I'll snap a picture when I get it all done.
