Tweety does seem like a productive day

Stars glad the haircuts turned out OK

Work was busier and a bit more chaotic than I  had expected yesterday,  though I did manage to get it all done.  Hoping today will be less crazy.  Am reflecting on how much the craziness is related to  the job and how much on how I approach it

After work went for a walk, then did the grocery shopping and stopped by the library and  ran another errand or two.  Texted with J, we're going to try and get together tomorrow.  Today should be quiet, not much going on after work

Will be a good bit warmer today, in the low 70s

Hello all!

Joe, kudos for making it through that crazy day yesterday!  Hope you and J are able to meet up.

It is raining today -- well, looks like misting, actually.

Yesterday I cancelled my walk date and spent the day reading and quiet.  I did make the vegan ceviche again (dh LOVES this!) and also made the pancakes he likes:

2 ripe bananas, well mashed

2 eggs

1/4 cup almond flour

1 Tbsp honey or maple syrup

Mix all and drop by Tbsps onto hot griddle greased with olive oil.  Cook till bubbly, then flip and cook.  It's kinda messy to make but they taste good!

Not much planned for today.  Next week we get ready to head out to Calico Ghost Town, near Barstow.  They have a campground and each year they hold a bluegrass festival (one day).  We will meet friends there and enjoy visiting and camping and jamming.  We have a friend house-sitting the felines, will take the little dog.   ?

Have a good day!

BRIGHT and VERY SUNNY (!) cool (66) and breezy. The Siesta Twins are in their usual eyes-closed, recliners-leaning-back positions. At the moment all is quiet. Hubby had offered earlier to go get KFC for supper, and I said, "SURE, YES, OKAY!"

Yesterday the Braves won 14 to 6 (or did I already tell y'all that?) Today's game is at 4:10 PM. but I'm not sure if that is the pre-game programming or the actual start of the actual game. Guess we'll find out in a little while.

I took a survey for the college I attended when I first moved to North Carolina. It was kind of funny, because I only attended there 2 years, until I decided I didn't need a degree to continue on with my interests. There were lots of questions about how well the college prepared you for your career, etc. I had to answer in the negative because I already had a career in nursing, and attending college was actually a nice 2 year 'vacation.' (Although I did continue to work on weekends, doing private duty). I had a lot of FUN during those two years, even though I was 10 yrs older than most of the other students. Probably that FUN wasn't the goal for that college, but it was freeing, as the courses I took had to do more with writing and art.

Still have stuff on my to-do list, and one of these days I'll buckle down and get busy crossing the rest of them off. Naturally, hubby has done very little, if anything at all. ["Status Quo", as we used to chart on long-term care patients at the end of the shift, way back in the early 1970's]

Will come by here later to check up on the usual suspects.?

Hullo all.

dianah, I might have to try those pancakes.

It's raining off and on here and looks like it will for the next several days. Good for the garden, I guess? Storms and hail possible this evening.

The contractors have been pouring asphalt for the hospital road. We've been here 6 months now with our temporary road. The rain will probably delay things a little more but it is getting close!

Dory dog seems to be doing well -- we'll see how it goes once she's off the prednisone.

I'm going to try yoga again tonight, weather permitting. I'm feeling constantly fatigued and I hope that, though it seems paradoxical, getting routine exercise will help.

Stars, I'm tackling the ever-growing to-do list, too. Hubs wanted to file a claim against the city for our plumbing problem Easter weekend but he hates to fill out paperwork. I completed the form except for 1-2 items I wanted him to do. Left it for him to finish and sign. He grumbled.

Found a form for requesting a replacement car title since stepdaughter lost the one we had. But I need to find all the pertinent information. Our chaotic "filing system" (I use the term loosely) makes that difficult. I'll get it, though.

My credit union was able to provide details on the cashier's check that *I* deposited last year when we bought the house. I've asked my brother to see if he can get the details for his and between the two I might be able to satisfy the bank's request for details before they can consider replacing the one my sister lost.

I'm going to try calling the person that the attorney had lined up to be a guardian for stepson since they have never called us.

No KFC for supper, because *I* don't have enough cash, and won't use the credit cards (trying to pay them down in chunks). Soooo, it is back to Whataburger, the order will be just under $20, and that is all I had. Guess I better put "Go to the Bank" on the top of my list.?

Afternoon. Partly sunny day, with a little breeze. It was perfect for my bike ride, except that darn wind always to act as a headwind no matter which direction I'm pedaling. Then home to do some garden clean up. Dh has put up some little "bee houses" for the mason bees. They are full of little tubes that the bees lay eggs in and then fill up with bits of mud. I was sitting on the ground beneath the houses, watching them fly in and out with mud. I hope they did a good job pollinating the raspberries. I went to sis's house yesterday to help her move some plants so that the handyman can come to fix her fence. I am gently prodding her to get appointments for her recomended consults. She is supposed to see neuro for her almost constant lack of balance, and an ENT for some impressive nosebleeds. Last night's dinner was a store-bought lasagna. It was just meh, but easy.

We are going to go out for Mexican food tonight, for early Cinco de Mayo, to avoid the crowds. We will also try to watch the Seattle Kraken hockey team--they are in the playoffs.

G'day.

Joe, hope your days are less crazy.

I was a free charge today with no patients of my own because a coworker came in to do overtime.  We had a lot of discharges and almost immediately as they were discharged an admission came.   I lost count at about 10 admissions.  I gave night charge a horrible report.  It was just too much.

Back for more tomorrow but I'll have an assignment as we are short staffed...what else is new?

Spent the evening watching Swamp People; first they were capturing alligators, then they were python hunting. It really is a big problem with those pythons, I guess they multiply like rabbits with many, many, many babies. The hunters came across about three mating couples and captured all of them. Except that I hate heat and humidity and mosquitoes, I would be tempted to go on a python hunt, as long as I had a strong partner to help. But I have 'aged out' of that kind of activity!
