Hello all!
Joe, I wonder if your cat has a hairball in there, somewhere?
We slept well last night (haha, wonder why??). It is good to be home, and use the "real" shower. I still have a few mosquito bites that bother me, from night before last, at the campground. We played our instruments by the picnic table at the site, and while we didn't SEE any mosquitoes, the evidence is on our ankles!! Little ankle-biters, they are!
Today I will continue to unpack, and do the laundry. May go to the grocery store for a few items. I need to fold the RV linens and take them out to the RV, so we are ready for our next outing. I have already paid a few bills.
Have a good day!
QuoteCat seems to have some sort of stomach issue, normal appetite but vomiting after she eats, multiple times per day. If whatever this is doesn't clear up before today is over I'm going to have to call the vet and see what can be done. Getting a little tired of repeatedly cleaning the carpet
Cat seems to be doing better, less vomiting yesterday and so far none today. Hoping that trend holds
Oh goodness do I know that story! My cat has done this every 4-5 weeks for the last few years. Vet is thinking chronic pancreatitis with a side of IBD. Her littermate brother I had to help across rainbow bridge a year and a half ago from IBD complications. We've made some diet changes and the only time she's thrown up in the last month was a legit isolated hairball, so I'm not counting that as an episode. But cats sure can be finicky and hide thing can't they?
dianah, I don't envy you laundry duties! I'll have to do my own tonight- orange cat (different from the one above) "gifted" me a hairball while I was at work. Right in my bed. (Technically, their bed that I am allowed to have 1/3 of only during the night and must promptly vacate when the feline overlords decide it's time for breakfast)
4 people seems like a nice number if you're going to have a convo. Much more than that, and I find it hard to hear or focus.
I seemed to have be the receiver of some insect stings on my shoulders. Itchy!
I had a PT visit today. The actual PT was out sick (I don't know why the receptionist thought I needed to know it was COVID) so I saw the PTA instead. I am beginning to not like her. I left with very sore feet, after she had me doing arch lifts. I happened to mention that my foot was cramping and going numb while doing another exercise, so she decided I needed to strengthen my foot arches. Ow! I hope to not see her again. I have one more visit scheduled, with the PT, next week. I zoomed home, wolfed down some salad greens and cottage cheese, and then zoomed over to get a massage. My feet feel much better, now, thanks to Bryn, my massage therapist. I have my last golf lesson tonight and I am hoping it doesn't rain, but it looks doubtful.
I did the last egg gathering and the chickens kept pecking at me. Although they were supposed to have enough water while the neighbors were away, their jug was dry and they had scratched up enough soil to fill the trough around the base. And I couldn't get it open to fill. I used the hose to spray out the soil, and fill the trough. Chickens are dumb. Neighbors should be back tonight.
I should wash the sheets, but I think I'll wait until tomorrow. I just want to sit and enjoy the feel of unknotted muscles.

When we arrived home yesterday, dh noticed I had been "gifted" with a spot of vomited kibble on my mouse pad! THAT got cleaned, right away, LOL!

Years ago, dh found a pigeon near his work, domesticated and he thought it probably wouldn't survive in "the wild," so he took it home and set it up in a crate with hay underneath. That pigeon LOVED dh, would coo at him, and for years, laid one egg every month for him. Would perch on his arm, allow him to turn it upside down, and was very relaxed. Me? If I came near the crate to check on it or feed it, it went crazy trying to peck me!!
Dh is our official bird-whisperer. When we visited the kids' kindergarten teacher's classroom (about 25 years ago), she was busy trying to chase her two chickens out of the classroom. They were kept outside, in a little open area, in a coop. She let them out to scratch and look for bugs, and they came into the classroom, open for "open house." We were the only ppl in the classroom at that time, and as we entered she stopped chasing the chickens to catch her breath and fill us in on what was happening. Dh started "talking chicken" to them, and they came right up to him, and followed him outside!! Yah, dh the bird-whisperer!
In our stops on the way home, I bought a book about the Native American voices, tribal ppl whose tribes are from Yosemite area -- talking about traditions, their tribes, etc. I started reading it this afternoon. I am formulating a grocery shopping list for tomorrow. Will get the laundry started soon (the linens are done), as I finally unpacked, while dh napped this afternoon.
It is 92 degrees out.
Have a good evening!
G'day!
My dogs like gifting me some vomit in the bed usually after I've done the washing, although one of them gifted me one in the computer room the other days. They are delecate.
Work was quite busy with discharges and admissions. I was in charge. I tried to give a new nurse report I took on a patient she was getting. She said something weird "I haven't had lunch yet and don't know when to be humble". I said "you mean when to be assertive (a witch with a b)?". Just tell me you'll take report after lunch and go to lunch. Whatever.
I got a nice note from the upper management at home that was hand written thanking me for floating the other day and having a positive infectious attitude. Barf.
