NJ22 it's good you're there to help your sister out with all of that

Tweety whether to stay or move is indeed a complicated decision.  Thankfully not one I have to make right now

Hi Ado

Glad to hear things are all right Stars

Work was crazy in the morning as I tried to catch up on emails, documents, and to  make sure everything was taken care of while I was away. By the afternoon things had calmed down.  Hoping today will be calmer although I did get 2 new files just before the end of the day

After work went grocery shopping and exercised.  Wore my mask outside given how bad the air quality was

Not much planned for today, will probably just exercise and stay in

Will be another warm day in the upper 80s, might get some rain  which we could  really use

YEEKS! It is supposed to be in the low 90's all week, AND there is supposed to be over a 51%  to 66% chance of rain for the next TEN DAYS!  Right now, it's like Nannie says: "Boy, that sun sure is bright!".....and she also is remarking repeatedly that there is 'something' running around 'out there'. Yuh.  She sounds, for some reason, quite surprised, to have birds and squirrels in her back yard. (Those swiss-cheese holes in her brain are gaining ground.)

No ballgames today. There are things I need to do, but I haven't gotten started on any of them yet.

Hubby just got up and went outside, but I imagine he won't be out there very long, as the heat and humidity are not his friends. Yup, just like I said, he has come back in!  He says, "Pretty bad out there.."

I am drinking coffee and lazing some...one of these hours I SHOULD do something, but the saying is "Don't should on yourself; it's messy!"

Maybe laydah, y'all ----

I wish you could hear, and am very glad you can't hear, Nannie explaining what the Supreme Court's decision on "Affirmative Action" is about.  ? Not only does she have dementia, she is 93 years old and was raised in South Carolina.

All I could say to her (trying to say it politely) was, "I am watching the same news story as you are; you DON'T have to explain it to me." ?

Some of her 'opinions' make me want to throw my tray at her like a frisbee, but I guess, given her background and all, she can't help her world view.  It's just that the way *I* was raised was sooooo different, it makes me feel ashamed when I hear her nonsense.

Good afternoon.

Our humidity has been so bad our "feels like" temps are 100 to 110.  It was so thick with humidity yesterday.  Today doesn't seem bad, but at 8pm it's 89 and "feels like" 98.

I was in charge today but was a "free charge' without a patient assignment which made the day go well.  We discharged quite a bit of patients and the ER was slow and we didn't get but a couple of admissions thankfully.

Hello all!

We got up and ready and dh drove the RV to the storage place, while I followed in the car.  Then I took him to a local diner/cafe for a mid-morning breaky, which was really good!  The cafe is only open from 7-1, serves sandwiches and breakfast all that time.  Is famous for their coffee cake (we took some home for later).

Later I took the to get it washed, and I did the inside vacuuming and cleaning after it got washed.

When driving home with the clean car, I passed a mom and her two grade-school boys, sitting on a corner in back of a table filled with bags of peaches they were selling!  I HAD to stop, have always loved a peach fresh from the tree!  "Mom" said, with all the rain this year, their peach trees have gone crazy!  I bought a dozen or so, and have already enjoyed one.  It was firm but sweet!

Then, trying to lock the car, carry the peaches, carry my purse --- the purse strap broke!  I had hold of it, so nothing fell, but I was disappointed.  I have others, will just transfer contents to one of the others.

93 degrees today, humidity right now 33%.   Should be triple-digits by the weekend.  Guess the June Gloom is done for this year, and Summer is HERE.

Have a good evening!

Definitely feeling like Summer here. Hot and humid. I chose to stay inside most of the day. I did go to the hospital for the nursing leadership meeting but otherwise stayed home and will tomorrow since stepdaughter's visiting and I can take time off.

Tomorrow night there are fireworks at the city lake. There are activities and food trucks starting at 5. I planted the seed with Hubs that it might be fun to go out there. Although it *will* be hot. Twin B took on an extra shift tomorrow night so he might not be up for it.

It's still on the cool side here, only up to 72. But of course, dh has to have the air conditioning on in the truck, set to "arctic blast." I volunteered at the plant clinic, then picked up another prescription for sis, and then went to see her. The physical therapy aid came today, and gave her some additional exercises. And she tried to tighten the straps on the leg brace, but one of them lies directly over an incision with staples, so that didn't work. Hopefully tomorrow the surgeon will take out the staples.

dh has been complaining of a  man-cold, and then tonight it dawned on me to test him for covid. And of course, he's positive. He will call his doc in the morning and hopefully get paxlovid. His age, DM, and obesity qualify him to get it. So far, I am negative and no symptoms.

Tacoma for retirement? That seems weird to go there from Florida. We get some Californians retire in our area, but a lot are snow birds, and will go back and forth to Arizona.

I like fresh peaches. People will bring boxes over from the east side of the state to sell. Right now, cherries are in season. And my blueberries and raspberries are getting ripe.
