Joe~ "Even doing nothing is actually doing something", especially if you NEED to be 'doing nothing'. I know this from personal experience! Be easy on yourself.
Time to get up, as it is almost time for Chatty CG.......IF she is coming. I sure HOPE she will be here, but sometimes it's last minute when I hear she isn't coming. Such suspense!
I'll be back later~
Yup. Chatty CG is here. Funny thing is she is ALWAYS 20 minutes late and she doesn't live that far away, so I don't know what her deal is. Had a friend in Nashville (not at work) who was always late ---- at least 45 min to an hour after everyone else arrived for a gathering. Every once in a while we would tell him an earlier time to arrive, because we knew he was in his own time-zone, and then at least we didn't have to hold on forever waiting for him to arrive, and he'd actually get there ON TIME!
Went on errands to get my turmeric and magnesium supplements, more cran-apple juice, more yogurts, paper towels, a birthday card for my niece, and bleach. (What a 'meal' all that will make, eh?)
Gotta go through my mail and see what needs to be paid.
It is already 4 PM; and the DAZE go by quickly. VRRMMM-ZoooooooM! (Pppffftttt!)
SiL sent me another "I have to work" text, and asked me to please get Nannie up and ready for BiL to pick her up and take her to daycare tomorrow. And you can bet I'll have to go pick her up to bring her home at the end of the day. SiL has soooo much to do all the time now. (TSK!) I certainly can understand her wanting out from under Nannie-tasks, but she doesn't even know the half of it, and I think she doesn't WANT to acknowledge the changes that Nannie is and has been going through. Let her spend 9 years living with her mother-in-law like *I* have, and she'd understand better. SMH! If I wasn't here, Nannie would be in a nursing home. I am the family's "convenience" in that regard.
But, then again, if it wasn't for Nannie and her house, I would've been living in a homeless shelter all these years. One of these days, though, I am going to end up owning this house and property, and I'll be deciding what to do with that situation, So, this is really at MY convenience!
Meanwhile, life goes on.
Hello all!
It's 96 degrees out. I am home from my yearly eye appointment. Nothing has changed with my eyes (same RX), and my last new pair of glasses was in 2023, so I picked out some new frames and ordered a replacement set. It'll be ready in two weeks or so.
Then I went to the HFS for some vitamins, and made a grocery run for a few items. I will do some cooking in a bit.
We are watching the German version of Professor T -- already watched 3 seasons of the English version. The German series -- 4 seasons -- was filmed before the English one. It's interesting, if ya like murder mysteries with quirky main characters. We have also watched all seasons of Death in Paradise, then the 2 seasons of Beyond Paradise.
No bills came in the mail today, hurrah!! I mailed oldest ds's card yesterday (his BD is the 17th). I have been trying to keep doing toning exercises (some with weights), several times per week. Gotta keep strength up. Our Disneyland passes are blocked out for the "Summer" (which is June and July). I don't know if we will go when they become usable in August, it depends on the temperatures. It's no fun to go in extreme heat, and Anaheim is usually more humid than we are used to.
Have a good evening!
Hi. I worked up a sweat today, by unloading 1/2 of soil to fill my new raised garden bed. I am going to plant raspberries in it. I also washed the clothes I wore to hike in, as they were sweaty, and had a layer of bug spray and spray on sunscreen. Later, we went to a Master Gardener meeting. I am going to run to be a member at large in the up coming elections.
I have to keep reminding dh not to take on too many projects, to the point that he feels overwhelmed. He had a realization the other day when he realized he committed to be 3 different places all at the same time.
I guess I missed Prime Day. I don't get much from Amazon anyway, just stuff I can't find locally. One of the dogs chewed on my ear buds, so I should have gotten new ones of those, oh well.

Tweety glad nothing more needed to be done at the dentist
Ado I agree, just existing can be tiring
Stars sounds like a productive day
NJ22 thanks for sharing the photo
Started work early due to a small project, worked hard throughout the morning, by the afternoon things had improved. Hoping today will not be too bad
After work was quiet, exercised and tried to work on a puzzle I bought, but was tired and found it was starting to give me a headache. I tend to feel I need to be busy all the time, but I wonder if I actually just need periods of rest instead
Today will have an online discussion with someone from church, she's been attending classes run by the bishop and wants to interview some church members. Will exercise too
Will be a bit warmer, in the mid 80s today
