Hello to all of y'all. Hope your day is going well.
Me, I'm going through education modules on infection prevention. It's not really boring (though it is somewhat repetitive) but I can't sit still. My face itches, my nose itches, my head itches, my bra itches, I've got to go to the bathroom... I'm like a little kid trying to behave in a classroom. It might actually have been easier when I was 7 than it is today. Working the floor tomorrow night with just me and an aide. Currently 2 patients.
YAY! I got an earlier appointment with my PCP than the one they gave me at first. This, mind you, is all over my requesting a refill for my Xanax, but I know that is SOP nowadays. I was going to have to wait nearly two weeks to get the 'script re-authorized, but now I get to go tomorrow at 11 AM! Whew! (Would not want to have to cold-turkey the Xanax for 2 wks!)
We did end up having another huge, lengthy "3-part" thunderstorm yesterday; it rolled through like bumper-to-bumper traffic. As soon as one storm was easing off, more thunder and lightning came on like gangbusters. Nannie had to have the drapes closed so the storm couldn't see or find her. I mean, I do thoroughly respect lightning, but I like to watch t-storms! (as long as they aren't being destructive.)
I am doing more laundry. Well, I am actually forgetting it, midway through as I seem to do so often.I just realized the washer finished its load 1/2 hr ago, so I will go put them in the dryer and start another load in the washer. One of the 3 loads is VERY small, so that's a good thing, because it means I can forget about it sooner than if it was a large load. (such logic!)
Oh gosh, it is time for hubby to come back from his nap so he can ask the dreaded question, "What do you girls want me to get for supper."
Good evening!
Home from a long busy day. Found out that two coworkers, one day shift and one night shift put in their notice. They come and they go.
Work was okay. Some shift change mess when a quadriplegic patient needed her dressing changed during bedside report that made me late. Would be nice to get out on change once in a while.
Hi. Just got home from my Dr. appt down in the big city. First time seeing this one, and because he is a teacher, I was seen by a cardiology fellow too. Of course, more tests, more appointments to follow. Sigh. I think they want to push up the timing of me getting an ICD. I would kind of like to get it done before I switch from work insurance to Medicare, because I've almost reached my out of pocket max. Really nice day today, had a lovely ride out at the bay this morning. There were some walkers stopped and looking up at a tree at the edge of the road that had two bald eagles sitting in it, pretty as you please. Man, those are some big birds! When the sunlight hits those white feathers they seem to glow. I'm going to tell dh he is on his own for dinner, my leg really hurts and I am exhausted from driving in that traffic.
Another Dr. appointment in the morning, with PCP. I'll bet he'll want labs, so I will fast until I see him. Then lunch with eldest ds. And probably a trip to Costco. I have some bug bites that itch like crazy. They are the worst at night. I wonder if doc would give me some triamcinolone cream. That stuff is the bomb. So much better that OTC hydrocortisone.
nursej22, hope you can get that ICD installed when you want to. Love seeing eagles!! They ARE magnificent birds!! Sorry to read your leg had a bad day, hope you got some good rest and it is better today. And agree: OTC hydrocortisone is like applying water - it does nothing for the itchy area! Again, hope today is better.

Have been doing some online shopping lately, got some new masks and some sealant that I can add to my bike tires to prevent flats like the one I had earlier this Summer
Sleep was a bit weird last night, woke up very early, fell right back to sleep, woke up a bit early, fell back to sleep briefly, then woke up again shortly before the alarm. Have begun shifting my bedtime a bit, sometimes that cases some temporary disruptions
Was a tad anxious this morning but have since calmed down. I think the meditation is helping
