Hi Ado

Despite the cold I did get out yesterday morning but didn't see any birds.  Rest of the day was a bit less productive than I had expected as I was pretty tired.  Did get the oatmeal raisin cookies made.  Watched part of Anchors Aweigh which I found a bit dull.  Did like The Spy Who Loved Me, watched Moonraker as well though I liked that a lot less.  

Today will run some errands after work.  Also need to start planning for 2025, since I didn't do that yesterday.  Have a list in my head, just need to write it down and figure out when I will start on the various items

Another colder day today around 30, think it will be in the 20s the rest of the week

Naturally the minute I went down to the kitchen, there was Nannie getting up and into her recliner. I put the shoulder wrap around her and gave her the meds and breakfast tray. I am going to wait and let Chatty CG get her washed and dressed. She is already 7 minutes late, and counting.....because we can always count on her being late.

As usual on a Thursday I have to gather all the trash and recycling to put in the bins and drag it all out to the end of the driveway for pick-up tomorrow. There are a few things I need to pick up at the grocery store....Nannie's juice and more yogurts. I wish the HFS was closer, but it isn't; I would l Ike to get some more of their chili bean soup. And a few other odds and ends.... I could wait and go out tomorrow while Nannie is at daycare, but I'd rather get it done and over with. Maybe I'll also get my nails filled in and the white repainted.

CG arrived at 1:16 PM, and started in with the anecdotes....her dad 's meds that were supposed to come in the mail, her grand-dgt and popcorn, her mom, her husband and his golf game, New Years Eve drinks, a friend's anti-vaxx stance, her uncle who was killed in a motorcycle accident, her ex-brother-in-law,  her dgt, etc, etc.....for 25 minutes straight. Nannie sat with her mouth open and staring at CG and when she got a chance, she immediately started talking about her shoes!

Okay I have to escape CG and the den; going upstairs to get my purse and a jacket and go out on my errands! Tomorrow SiL is picking Nannie up to take her daycare, so maybe I can stay in and get a few house things done.

Time to leave!

Wow, the Chatty CG covered a lot of territory in that 25 minutes. 

Sweet little Turbo turned out to have an invasive tumor so she was euthanized this morning. She would sit in my lap and demand to be petted by putting her paws up to my face. I will miss that.

I am sorry for your loss, Annie. Little Turbo sounds like a sweetie. 

I dropped off my car at the auto body place. Just from the visible damage on the outside , they said $9000 to start. No idea how long it will take. At least I don't have a job I need to get to. dh does most of the shopping. 

Youngest ds picked me up and got me to my massage appointment and I had her work on the kinks in my neck and back. Trying to nap, but mind too busy about the car.

Ado~ So sorry to hear about Turbo. Losing a precious fuzzy-buddy is so hard.

j22~ I am avoiding getting an estimate for the right side of my car which I tried to drive a leeeetle bit toooo close to the carport posts. I know I won't be able to have that body-work done AND get 4 new tires. But the tires will have to come first, when I finally can save enough money for them. So, I thought about painting the scraped areas to resemble clouds in the sky, over mountains and a lake. It would actually look pretty cool if it was done right. But there won't be any painting in this weather!

 Nannie climbed the stairs again while I was putting away groceries and cooking her supper. "I just thought I could help." 🙄 Yuh. If she keeps up with her wandering, either something will happen to her, or we will end up placing her, or both. She just still thinks she is like she always used to be: ready-willing-and-able. EGADS!

Car body work --- UGH!  I wouldn't wish that on anyone.  I hope it is all done soon!

I got the car washed today.  It was a joint effort, actually, as I drove it through one of those car washes and then parked it in a bay to use the vacuum and do the drying-off with the microfiber cloths provided.  Then I picked up dh's burritos for the week (most are getting frozen then will be taken out as needed).  Then, as always, stopped to pick up a few groceries.  I am now making the tomatillo chicken soup.

Youngest ds and dil will be in town for a few days here, pretty soon.  It will be good to see them!  They have tickets to a concert, one of their fave bands.
