Stars hoping for a quiet day today

NJ22 that is odd, I would think even for cataract surgery they would require a gown

Hi Tweety

Yesterday was not quiet at work.  Started early as I had some work to do on a project, found out I got 2 more new cases last night.  Worked hard and fast and got those done by the afternoon.  Got a bit anxious and angry but kept things under control.  Was calm by the afternoon, after which yet another new case came my way.  The supervisor agreed to give it to someone else, so the end of the work day was quiet

The evening was quiet too, went out to get cat food but otherwise a quiet night for me

Hoping today will be quiet as well

Going to be a bit cooler today, think it only will get up to the upper 20s

To get everything done today, I should've started my day at 9 AM, but it is just after 12 noon and so far all I've done is drink coffee. Can't leave the house until Chatty CG arrives, and then it will be 4 or 5 hours of tearing around from one end of town to the other. It would be so nice to be able to get up and go on with my day without having to "worry" about Nannie-care coverage. Maybe one day, but it still ain't happening yet.

So, no lollygagging; I must get up, get dressed and prepare for my 'escape' so I can use my time wisely.

The day started cold, but warmed up to 50, feels almost tropical! I took MiL in for her post-procedure check of her eye. All things were good. Didn't require any drops. I will take her next week to get the other eye done. She mentioned treating me to breakfast, but we just grabbed a quick coffee. Then home to walk the dogs, laundry, and a nap for myself. dh made some squash soup, so that will be dinner.

I thought I posted but I guess not.

No gown required for cataract surgery at our hospital. I don't think I had to change for my other eye surgery in OKC either.

Last night we looked at Jupiter and 4 of its moons with Twin B's new telescope.

Tonight was the hospital Christmas party. My gift/prize is a large heating pad. I might never get off the couch.

Oooo, squash soup sounds good!  Good your MiL's postop check was encouraging.  Now for the other eye!

Hello all!

We went to Disneyland on Monday, got our steps in and had a very nice time seeing the decorations and lights.  Had supper with nephew and his wife and 8yo (they have passes too).  I brought spice cookies (several dozen) and pumpkin dip to the band we usually listen to.  Dh bought his banjo from one of their members, and we will usually chat with him when we are there.  I texted him, asking how best to hand over the "loot."  He said "just give it to me!"  LOL  So I did - handed them over after their set.  They said they enjoyed the cookies!

Tuesday I did some grocery shopping.  Wednesday I made soup.  And also noted that our supply of spice cookies is getting low, so tomorrow I will probably bake more for home.  I made a keto pizza tonight: Crust: 1 cup mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, 1 egg, and sprinkling of onion powder.  Combine all thd flatten onto a baking pan, making whatever shape you want: round or rectangle.  Bake at 400 degrees X 15-20 min.  Remove from oven, top with favorite pizza toppings, and return to oven X 10-15 minutes.  Serve.

We made reservations for an upcoming Currier and Ives Christmas program, organized by our friends at Oak Glen.  They schedule three of these in December, held in an old packing house.  Evening includes dinner, music, caroling, and called-cotillion dancing.  We will likely only watch the dancing, as we both were born with four (or more) left feet.  We have a great sense of rhythm, to play in a band, but don't ask us to dance!

Tomorrow we will practice with the band for our upcoming program -- four songs.  Hopefully it will go smoothly, and we will be ready for the Dec 14 morning program.

Have a good evening!

G'day.

Had a decent day.  Had to call a rapid response at the end of the shift due to a post op patient losing blood pressure, but laying flat and IV fluids fixed her up.

I like butternut squash soup.

Dianah sounds good.

Have a nice evening and good day tomorrow.

Tonight's low temp will go down to around 20 degrees, and tomorrow the HIGH temp will be 43 degrees.. Jeepers!

I am exhausted and have a blisters on my left large toe and the toe next to it., my back aches, and I have done nothing much since I've been home except get all the trash out to the end of the driveway for pick up tomorrow, and heat up a frozen dinner for Nannie. Am ignoring the dishes in the kitchen sink.

I went to the dealership, but for some reason the bay doors to the service area were down and the sign said "CLOSED", so I could not get them to check my tires. The stupid 'low-tire' light had come on two days ago. But couldn't be seen for that today. Went to the HFS and the pet store, then a grocery store, then paid my phone bill and went to 2 different Walmarts. I was looking for two of those plain grid 2025 wall calendars (no luck). Anyway. it was a busy day and I took my pain meds early, and I got Nannie to bed earlier than her usual time............so *I* am going to bed! I hope this post makes sense, because  am rushing...................zoom,zoom!

Those are some COLD temperatures!  Sleep well, NSIME!  I hope the blisters don't cause you too much discomfort, they can be so irritating!  Too bad you weren't able to get the tires checked.  Sometimes, here, the local discount tire stores will check tires for free, even if you didn't buy them there.  Promoting goodwill, etc (hoping you will remember them when you need tires!).

My "pizza" (I made two, around 12" ea) turned out yummy, and it was so filling we were able to save half for another meal.

G'night!

When I was in NC recently I left before 6AM and it was in the 30's.  My check tire light came on and I was concerned but G said it was because it was cold.  As the day warmed up it went off.  Who knew?
