Good morning!
Joe, glad your anxiety is better. I took my clonazapam to assure none last night and slept okay. Although the very early hours seem to be an issue with me.
Not much going on here. At work 5:1 ratio and in charge. Apparently our ER has over 25 admissions and holds. Usually this is our slow time of year, but I think it's more staffing than bed availability, although my unit is full. My mother went through the same thing in North Carolina. Dad said she was in the ER 19 hours waiting on a bed.
Joe, glad you've had some good work days and good feedback. I do think we all need a creative outlet. And you might be losing your choir (though you did say you'd probably do some ensembles) so knitting could be a good one. I guess only if you love it.
Tweety, when I worked at the big city hospital I would hear stories from patients about being in the ER 20-30 hours or more waiting for a bed. Here, that has only been a problem in 2 scenarios: (1) during the worst of the pandemic and (2) patients needing placement at a psych facility.
Feeling good about that state of all the reporting (what a relief). I may need to set/reinforce some boundaries at home. Twin B called me on the phone about 12:45 am (from the living room) and asked me to come in there. I assumed he was having trouble with the dog but what he wanted was advice on completing a job application. ?. I mean, I'm glad he's making the effort but.. 12:45 am? I had just gotten into a good sleep!
Expecting a low of 68 degrees tomorrow night, the first time we've been that cool since... some time in May? The highs are still in the 90s and 100s until mid/late next week when it drops down to about 90 and there are thunderstorms in the forecast.
Hello all!
Slept pretty well, awake at 0730 and got up when I heard dh up. We dressed and drove out to pick up and park the RV in front of the house, then he fed the cats. I have had a quiet morning. Got lots of "should do this" running in my head but haven't started anything yet.
Tweety, hope the day goes smoothly for you.
Joe, you too. ?
Ado, nice it is cooling off in the evenings. I hear ya re: boundaries. Nice to know you are a trusted resource, but I agree: 12:45 a.m.???
Have a good day!
Hi. Another not-so-good nights' sleep. Just couldn't get comfortable, and knew I had to get up early to take dh to his colonoscopy. Oh well. His procedure went well, took him home to nap then went to the impound lot to retrieve stuff from the wrecked car and take pictures. When I got home, I called the insurance and got that set in motion. The car is so old I may or may not get anything out of it, because of the deductible. I went shopping for a gift for my crazy job-share who is retiring this week. And I ordered some cupcakes to pick up for a little send-off tomorrow. And I spoke with the cardiac procedure coordinator to set up my post procedure visits. I was a little worried that my covid test could still be positive (it can stay positive up to 90 days), so she was going to look into that. And I've been masking when indoors public places cuz I don't want anything to mess this up!
Not sure what is for dinner tonight, maybe take out, I'm pooped!
Yes to boundaries, boo to anxiety!

Tweety and NJ22 hope the anxiety calms down for you
Dianah hope you sleep better tonight
Ado glad you're feeling all right
My anxiety was better yesterday. Had a very good monthly review, and the comments from the company we work with on our work as a whole featured what sounded like only minor criticism. Not sure why people are thinking they might cancel the contract, rumor mill I guess
Work was slow enough that I had time to finish a very tedious CEU for my PA license. I should be able to complete the application now, I think. Who knows when it will get processed, they are one of the slowest states
Did grocery shopping when I got home. Decided, with regards to the knitting, that I'm either going to need to take a class or stop, as I seem to be stuck without progressing. Not sure I really have time for a class
Should be a quieter day at work today, and nothing really going on after work
Should be a bit cooler today, in the upper 70s
