Stars that's nice you'll have time to yourself today

Dianah that sounds like a good recipe

Yesterday started off crazy at work, with a new case already on top of a heavy workload.  Worked like crazy early in the day, and things calmed down by the end.  Had counseling over lunch

After work ran some errands and then exercised, and did a little more packing.  And texted the cat sitter.  Was thinking, if my September trip doesn't happen, I might take some time instead and explore city, since I'm so rarely there

Work should be considerably better as long as I don't get any more new cases.  And since I have tomorrow off, it's essentially my Friday.  Will spend time after work exercising and finishing up the packing

Will be little warmer today, in the low 40s with some more rain

Good morning, partly sunny today, and yesterday was much the same. The news says the snow pack is low, so we can expect water restrictions, possible power price increases,  and  more forest fires. Sigh.

I volunteered at the demo garden yesterday, cleaning up old leaves, discovering what survived the Winter and preparing for the new water system to be involved. No one seems to know for sure where the new pipe will be laid, but for sure it will disrupt some plantings. That makes it hard to prepare.

I'm going for a quick jog soon, and then youngest ds and I are going for pedis. I need to go by the grocery store too. I'm going to try bathing the dogs. Now that the grass is growing and we've spread some wood chips, the back yard isn't quite so muddy. If the dogs are supposed to look like they are wearing tuxedos, their "shirts" ought to be white.

It's gray and is supposed to rain today, but so far it hasn't started. My sister in Maine said they got several feet of wet, heavy snow and they are supposed to have  more precipitation of one kind of another until Saturday. Ugh. Glad I don't live in N.E. anymore....don't miss the snow or ice at all and am glad not to have to drive in it. They're not big on snow plows down here, except for the highways.

I did get my errands done yesterday, so today it will be laundry, and gathering the trash to bring out to the curb for tomorrow's pick up. Other than that, it's anybody's guess what else I might get up to.

It is almost time for the get-Nannie-up routine. I think with the dehumidifier on, it will be a nice "white noise" for her to doze off to, after she has her breakfast and meds. I sure hope so, anyway!

Oops, I'm wrong...or the weather report is....I just checked it and it said 60 degrees, but no rain predicted. No rain, supposedly, until next Thursday; but I know it will change, because from one day to the next, it always does.

nursej22, your dogs are such cuties!

No Stars, good you were able to do your errands yesterday.  Did the humidifier "white noise" help Nannie sleep?

I folded clothes and put them away, then cleaned out the linen cupboard.  Bunches of sheet sets that haven't been used in years.  Off to Salvation Army with them (tomorrow)!

Dh did the online jam.  Rain is predicted tomorrow, though it won't be a heavy storm.

Have a good evening!

No, Nannie didn't sleep. I went upstairs to prepare her supper, but she had to go to the bathroom. But first, she said she wanted me to clean the blood off the door, the window, and in  the back yard. There was no blood or anything red where she kept pointing, and she kept pointing at different things every time I asked for some kind of specific answer. She fussed about her neck and shoulder, and lidocaine roll-on didn't help. When I finally got her to go to the bathroom, she was so constipated with cement-hard stool, it took 45 minutes to get her to eliminate a NY rat-sized stool. I don't understand.....I mean she gets stool softener every morning, and stool softener with a laxative in it every night. She's drinking a lot more fluids than she used to, eating more fruits and veggies, and moving more than just her previous travels of  bathroom>chair>bathroom>bedroom. Trish took her walking through the grocery store the other day, and she is being taken out, so moving about physically more often than ever. Her "conversations" are often missing nouns and verbs, but have a lot of "Oh, you know" and "Oh I can't even talk". Sometimes I can figure out a skeleton of her commentary, other times I give up and say "Uh-huh".

So, her supper was late and after she ate it she said she didn't feel well, but it had nothing to do with her stomach or abdomen. I told her we were going to have to take her to the doc to figure out why the pain in her right neck and shoulder doesn't ease off, even with meds, etc. She may need a different recliner, as this one has a puffy pillowed area at head height and it seems it pushes he rneck out. Of course staying 36 hours in her chair seemed to bring on the first c/o the neck and shoulder pain.

Please allow me to say.......SHREIK! ARGH! SCREAM! SIGH!

okay rant over.

She's been in bed for 25 minutes and has just gotten up, made her bed, and came out to the den, saying, "What's going on?" Then her excuse for being up was there is a wrinkle in the pad under her butt. There wasn't. I got her back into bed, and I am turning all the lights out and going upstairs. BAH!
