We can only wear them when covered with the disposable, but most of us have our own scrub jackets and can wear those. We supposedly are getting hospital issued.... we'll see. We're still waiting for computer charting, LOL... BUT, we have upgraded to a NEW & IMPROVED OR record, that's like 22 pages long. Good times, there!
I take my scrub jackets to the laundry mat & get a poo poo from TPTB, but a filthy cover jacket that hasn't been laundered in months is OK to wear??? Still don't understand that one.
yes...we wear all kinds of caps at our hospital.. just as long as it covers your hair adequately. its good to show some individuality!

some of those are really cute......but......i don't think i would wear the skull and bones design in front of patients about to have surgery.

There are tons of really cool looking scrub caps out there: tie dye, sports teams, shamrocks, etc. Will most ORs let you wear those, or do they generally insist on disposables for sterility purposes? Naturally, I'll ask my own OR when I start in June, but I thought I'd see what people here think.
