Hi everyone,
I have an interview with an admission counselor January 6th, I was wondering if anyone of you guys had recently an interview with them for the prelicensure BSN program. I'm kind of nervous and I don't know what to expect.
Schedule for BSN program for Jefferson:
It is a full time two year program.
All day Monday and Tuesday is in the classroom (8:30-4pm). This remains the same throughout the 2 years.
Two day per week are in clinicals either the 7am - 3pm shift or the 3pm-10pm shift. These two days are always back to back for 7 weeks. Every 7 weeks your 2 days and hours will probably change. There is only one time during the 2 years that you will have to do a weekend.
I may have left out some of the details, but that is the gist of it. If you have any further questions, speak to Danielle in admissions at Jefferson.
If I were you I would apply asap. They may already be filled for Fall 2010 entrance by now.
Good luck on your decision.
Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that I heard from Danielle 2 days ago and I was accepted.
They first sent me a letter saying that I will be wait listed then the following day they sent me an email congratulating me for the acceptance. I guess some miracle happened.
I cannot believe it I am in.

Yay! Are you guys going to the accepted students reception?
I know this was a few months ago but I was wondering something. For the preferred GPA do they look at your pre-reqs you need only or all your classes? I have classes that don't count as my pre-reqs for the program and I wanted to know do they count as part of the GPA they look at. By the way, I took them at a previous school. My GPA at my current school is 3.6

Don't give up. You have an excellent GPA. I first applied for admission for Fall 2009 in April of 2009 but was told that the program was filled, and I still needed to complete more of the prerequisite classes. I had more classes to complete than I thought. I was emailed for an interview in September of 2009, and at that point I only had three classes left to take - chemistry, abnormal psychology and an elective (took social problems). I think they like to see the majority of the science classes complete. I was told toward the end of my interview that I was in and would receive an acceptance letter.
Please do not give up. As I stated, I first applied in April 2009 for Fall 2009 admission and did not get in. Your GPA is excellent, but they do want to see the bulk of the classes completed before acceptance.
Best of luck to you and keep up the good work!
