Thomas Jefferson FACT - 1 Center City (May 2020)

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey Everyone,

I applied to Jeffersons FACT 1 year Center City program for May of 2020. I interviewed August 28th and still haven't heard back from them. Anyone else in the same boat?

Specializes in Public Health Background.

I was accepted to TJ’s Fact-1 & put down my deposit to reserve my seat! Has anyone heard anything about the type of financial aid or scholarships they give?

Congrats!!

So from what I know, there aren’t any scholarships, but you can apply to financial aid through FAFSA!

Hey everyone! For Fast Track 1 May 2020 in Center City, have they given you an official start date? And also orientation date as well?

Nope, still haven’t heard anything! I actually asked the same thing in the Facebook group (Jefferson Fact 1 Center City Class of 2020-2021) yesterday though, so I’d check there to see what people responded with! The guesses vary, but everyone says some point in May. I’m just hoping we find out soon!!

I was just recently accepted into the FACT-1 May 2020 program! I know it is kinda early but is anyone looking for a roommate? You can follow me on Facebook (Mikayla Ruth) or instagram (mikaylaa.camille) to message me if you'd like! :) Also, I have THE cutest and cuddliest cat that I would love to bring with me. She doesn't shed and pretty much just sleeps all day so she would not be a bother at all!

Hi all, I interviewed for the FACT-1 + Midwifery program at TJ on December 18th. They told us they would get back to us within 1-3 weeks. Then the next day, they requested my Fall 2019 transcript, and later confirmed that they received it... but I still haven't heard back now, and it's a month after my interview. I can't imagine that my fall grades hurt my application, as I got A's in both classes... Is anyone else in a similar position?

(Congrats to all who are in, and good luck to people waiting!)

@elana1 Hey! I think I was in the same interview group with you on 12/18/19!

I just received my acceptance on 1/17/20 and it took a little longer than I thought it would based on what we were told during the interview. I called them about a week prior to receiving my acceptance email and Jasmine told me that my application went to Faculty Review and I should know soon. So maybe try calling Jasmine if you still haven't heard back? I think you interviewed great!

Good luck!!

@michelle484 oh my gosh, hi!!! CONGRATS on your acceptance :)))) you totally rocked in that interview! thanks so much for the words of advice, I'll reach out to Jasmine!

Hi everyone!

I will be having my interview this week for the FACT 1 program starting in May 2020. Extremely nervous, but also very excited! Can anyone give some tips on how it is run and questions asked! thanks.

@kahryn98

Hey! Congrats on your interview! No need to be nervous, it's super relaxed. They'll start by telling you about the program and how long to wait before you hear a decision from them (they said 2-3 weeks, but it was more like 4ish for me). Then you'll watch a super quick video about Jeff and they will give you a couple minutes to write down an answer to a question that they will ask you in the interview (this is so that you can think about it beforehand - for me, the question was "what are 3 qualities that would make a good nurse"). The they will split you up into groups of about 4 and you'll take all take turns answering the same question. Don't worry if you have similar answers to each other because a lot of people want to be a nurse for similar reasons so just focus on how you want to word yours. Everyone takes turns going first to answer the questions so that it's pretty fair. They asked us about 7-8 questions I think and they were pretty standard questions, nothing that should trip you up if you prepare. What was your greatest accomplishment? How do you handle stress? Why do you want to be a nurse?

Hope this helps! You'll do great!!

@michelle484 Michelle, thank you so much for your insight! That eased my nerves a lot! Sounds pretty standard to what I was preparing for. Thanks and congrats on your acceptance!
