Published

Hi! I have been accepted to Thomas Edison's accelerated program this Fall.. Just curious who else will be attending and any thoughts or comments from alumni would be appreciated!

Can't wait to c y'all:yes:

Congratulations!! Even though I already got in the program I'm still a little nervous about the TEas...what resources did you use to prepare?

I live in lakewood(ocean county) and it's about 45 min with no traffic. Your nervousness is shared pretty much by all I have met so far.... you are right this test isn't a make or break test but we all are entering a very intestine course and I think at least for myself I wanted to start on a good note..... I studied from online sources. They sent a link to a Web site that offers demo questions I found helped me brush up on my math skills.

Yes I got the link also, haven't gone on it yet, been practicing from the McGraw hill 5Teas practice test book. I will be commuting about 40 mins too without no traffic.

I have applied for student loans and was just approved

I know there is a scholarship available December time..... I have been working and putting savings away for the possibility of getting into an accelerated program. I know there is usually so surplus money that comes with the student loan.... but not sure how much. I might be worth while to reach out to friends and family it's definetly a humbling thing to do but if it makes a difference in my ability to attend school I tried it.

Hey everyone. Glad I found this forum! Is everyone attending the STARS program tomorrow?

I know at least two students from ocean county are

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend:no:

How was the program? I was told that the passing rate is 30%

How was the program? I was told that the passing rate is 30%
The 2015 cohort started with 30 students and only 12 of the 30 passed. The 2016 cohort had approximately 29 students in total and 11 of those students did not get through.

Thank you for your response.

Why is this ? There are other ABSN and non have low numbers like Thomas edison.
