Hi hiii -

I have an interview on 8/15. Thanks for starting this thread. Are you from the NJ area? I'm from Raleigh and coming to nursing after a long career in business - probably will be the oldest student in the class. I like the TESU program because it's 12-months and they offer a masters in infomatics - an area I'm interested in.

Hey! Congrats on the interview!! So I actually was informed that my acceptance letter was a technical error:( I am currently completing my last prereqs so my application is still pending. I reside in NJ and hope all will work out.. I heard they built a new building this year so they hopefully will be accepting more applicants Do you mind to share ur stats?

My undergraduate GPA was 3.56 and my API&II, Micro, Chemistry & Nutrition prerequisites GPA is 3.47. The new nursing school is very exciting. Best of luck finishing up your prerequisites. Stay in touch and hopefully others will join the thread.

Hey everyone.

I just got an invitation for an interview!!! So psyched and nervous. Hoping it all works out. Is there any prep for the interview? I know medical school has interview prep....

Congrats Lkwd85! Allnurses has threads well worth reading on prep, including possible questions. In the TESC 2015 cohort's posts I found this: Hey henzoic,

thats good, I'm sure you will do fine. They will ask you what your strengths and weaknesses are, why you want to become a nurse ( why are you changing careers). They will also ask you have you ever been in a situation where you had multitask or had to use your judgement, if you saw your friend cheating on an exam what would you do in that situation. Remember to be yourself and just be honest, they are looking for creativity. Good luck!

Nice, now we just do the waiting game. Oh boy do I hate that. Anybody else get the invite for an interview .

On a side note I saw from a different post, a nursing student had mentioned the book "all in one". They said this book helps one write a patient plan/ treatment report. They also went in to say that one will be writing quite a few of those. Might be something worth while looking into. Anyone have any other suggestions on helpful literature

Lkwd85 - Thanks for the book suggestion. I will check it out. In the allnurses threads I have read quite a few tips about passing the NCLEX. Some of them cite supplemental study material they used, even during nursing school, to help them to pass the NCLEX. It's worth spending some time reviewing what everyone has to say.

I had my interview yesterday. Have you had yours? How did it go?

My interview went great. Every one was so nice and professional. The interview question I read online were pretty close to the interview questions. How did you do Raleigh. Did they tell you when they would let you know if you got in or not.

I think my interview went well. I certainly enjoyed the company of all of those high level women. They did a great job of representing the program. They didn't tell me when I would be contacted, but they did say I should check my spam file if I didn't get the email. Since I live out-of-state, they also talked about the dates for the TEAS testing, STARS training, and the mandatory program review meeting. Did they tell you when you would hear? Are you applying for financial aid? If so, have you done that yet?
