I start LPN school on August 20. My husband and I have a 15 month old, and we would really like to keep our kids about 2-3 years apart. Our plan is to try for a summer 2013 baby since I will have the entire summer off school, then finish up in the fall. We are going to be very careful about timing, as to not to be due during a semester. Our daughter already goes to my sister-in-law's home daycare, and she said she would be more than happy to watch any future kids also.
Any thoughts on being pregnant while in school?
I just changed schools form the ttc@paris to the one in nashville.i made a 88 on my reading and a 55 on my math does anyone think i will defently get in to the january classes.
I'm not to sure about the admittance process. I think you may have better luck by starting a new thread specifically under the nursing school tab or find an ongoing thread about the school and ask there. Also, with nursing school these days there is no such thing as definitely getting in with it being so competitive. Best of luck to you on your nursing endeavor!
I know youve gotten a lot of comments already but Id just like to add my experience to this. I am currently enrolled in an RN program. At the end of my FIRST semester I got pregnant with my first child and had the worst morning sickness EVER. I'm talking all day and all night, dehydrated, and in and out of the drs. BUT I did it! I made it through with a 3.8 GPA. You can do whatever you want as long as you have the motiviation and support of your husband and family which it sounds like you do. If you want to have another child dont let anyone take that away from you. Your a mom, a wife and a nursing student. You WILL find a way to get it all done! Will it be hard yeah I'm sure it will be. But doing any one of those things is difficult all by itself. Its all about knowing yourself and what you can handle. Good luck to you!
To be brutally honest, it sounds like a very dumb idea! LPN school is hard enough not being pregnant, why would you want to put even more on your plate? I couldn't even imagine being pregnant and having to do a clinical, they're ever labor intensive. What happens if you have complications and can't attend the rest of your schooling for the year? Have you really put any thought into this other than you want kids an x amount of years apart? Also, check with your school to see if you're even allowed to be pregnant while in school. My school does not allow pregnant woman to attend for health reasons.
Yea exactly what she just said! And just because you plan doesn't mean it will work out that way, you can't control what God has in store for you.
Oh honey.... you're only 21? You have SO many years left to have more babies. And because your husband is 26, doesn't make him even close to "old" to be worrying about more children. I'm 33, my husband is 35, and I'm starting LVN school in a few days. We have no children and are still on the fence about having them. All we know is it's important that I get a solid start on my educational process before we decide to have a child. Get your education done so you can provide a more stable life for your child and future children.
You will look back on this "dilemma" in 10 years and laugh, I promise. :)
