They rescinded my job offer...

Nurses General Nursing

Published

I quit one job, turned down another job, went through drug testing, physical agility testing, and everything but orientation and they rescinded the offer. I don't know what I am going to do now...

:bluecry1:

Well...I got a call from the place I turned down. They want me to come in for another interview tomorrow. Yea! The DON also said that my references checked out very well and that my former supervisor at the hospital spoke highly of me and the administrator at the nursing home said that they really miss me. I didn't think they were allowed to say things like that.

I don't know if the place that rescinded their offer is feeding me a line or if there was a problem with my credit or what. Oh well...

I'm glad to hear that things are looking up! I'll send up a little prayer that your interview goes well tomorrow. When the dust settles, I think it is perfectly reasonable for you to contact the hiring manager who rescinded the offer and ask to be informed as to why that decision was made. If you frame your question in a positive light, "I would like to know how I can present myself in the most professional manner possible." s/he shouldn't feel threatened by your inquiry. I firmly believe that you have the right to a truthful answer.

Good luck!

I got the job...not 100% what I was looking for but still a very nice facility, breat beenfits, good $$$, staffing so good they are almost overstaffed, organized management...

I do general orientation tomorrow and I start on the floor on Monday.

Congratulations! Best wishes for success in you new job!

Congratulations, cj!

BTW, they can always say nice things. And they did.
