There is always one..

There is always one student in every class that has to ask a question every 5 minutes! In one of my hardest classes we got through 3 slides in 3 hours! We can't even cover the material because this one student can't help but share EVERY personal story! I am so worried about our first exam because we haven't really covered much.

I just had my first day of nursing school on Wednesday but we just went over the syllabus and introduced ourselves to everyone so we haven't had lecture yet. Hopefully everyone is mindful of the limited time we have for lecture and refrains from the non essential questions.

There really is always one. I found it to be worse at the beginning of my program, when overall there were more questions, anxiety, and less self-directed learning going on. I definitely agree with others about addressing the professor about your (very valid) concerns about the classroom environment in general, as far as not getting through the content goes and being worried about being prepared for exams. It is the responsibility of the instructor to maintain some semblance of order in the classroom - and yes, this does include answering some questions during class, but it also involves directing students to office hours if they still have unanswered questions.

I hope it gets better!
