The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio CRNA Program - 2024 Start

Hi everyone!
I didn't find a thread for anyone applying to UT Health San Antonio's new BSN-DNP Nurse Anesthesia program with their first matriculating class starting in Fall 2024.

I am making this thread because I plan to apply, and the deadline is coming up soon in March. I wanted to create a forum for any one applying as well! Post stats, updates, questions, thoughts and opinions, etc.

I was having issues with the payment and msgd them. They were pretty responsive. I will wait this week and msg them next week if I don't hear anything

Any updates? LOL the wait is giving me anxiety at this point, especially with the interview dates creeping up!

Still waiting as well. So nervous! I really hope we find out sometime this week.

I called and spoke with the office of admissions. I was told that they are still reviewing applications and will send out email notifications about interviews once all applications are reviewed. She stated she could not give me an estimated timeline or date for interviews. She said that the application review process will probably take another few weeks.

What, really!? I emailed Dr. Peterson (the director of the program) whenever they had changed the application deadline to ask and she said they were going to start sending interview invitations before April 1st but I guess not anymore. 
 

I was really hoping to hear from them sometime this week 😕 thanks for calling and letting us know!

That is my guess. They reopen the application until April 1st. They are reviewing all the applications and will also review the ones they got in March. Once they r done reviewing all applications they will let us know. We will find out by mid April. That's what I think.

Yea I also emailed her a bit ago (around March 10th I think) and she said interviews will go out "very soon" , before April 1st, and she also verified the interview dates as April 15/16. I feel like they would've sent an email out if they were going to change the processing timeline but IDK. I was very hopeful we'd hear back before April 1st 😕  hopefully the admin people weren't right abt the timeline bc a few more weeks is alot😭

I was told the same thing! I wonder if there were a lot more applicants than expected.

Well, I'm assuming we will find out soon since April 15/16 is only 3 weeks away.

I don't understand why they extended the deadline. I thought that they didn't have enough applicants. At this point is all speculation LOL

Dang. I was planning around those April dates. I'm going out of town and May hope it won't interfere with interviews. I think people need to know weeks ahead of time to make travel arrangements :/
