The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio CRNA Program - 2024 Start

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone!
I didn't find a thread for anyone applying to UT Health San Antonio's new BSN-DNP Nurse Anesthesia program with their first matriculating class starting in Fall 2024.

I am making this thread because I plan to apply, and the deadline is coming up soon in March. I wanted to create a forum for any one applying as well! Post stats, updates, questions, thoughts and opinions, etc.

I got an email today from the school requesting that I send my GRE scores and CV/Resume. GRE Scores I had already sent to UTHSCSA so IDK why they are requesting them. CV/Resume I was unable to upload to the application after I submitted since the NursingCas applications weren't clear about uploading it from the start.

It's good because it means they are reviewing your info. I got nothing

Maybe your GRE scores are still being sent, I know it can take up to two weeks after taking the GRE to be uploaded.

For the CV/resume, they had sent an email on January 29 stating to submit our CV/resume with our employment verification form in one document. But it is not stated on NursingCAS.

Yes, I saw this email after I had already submitted my documents. I was emailing NursingCas and the school to be able to add my Resume but they weren't able to figure a way for me to add it,  so I guess now I'll just be emailing it!

My GRE results were sent by ETS on January 31. Did you guys use the school code 7616 for UTHSCSA School of Nursing?

That's good they are still allowing you to email them your CV/resume!

I used code 7616 to send my GRE scores.

Call the office of admissions and clarify the school code. And they will redirect you (if I remember correctly) to registrar so you can verify if your scores have been received!

Did ya'll see that they extended the deadline to April 1st now? Probably because a lot of people were not able to submit their CV/resumes in NursingCAS.

Yea I saw that, I wonder if they will still be reviewing applications in the mean time/ contacting people for interviews or if they will wait after the April deadline 😕
I feel like maybe they didn't have enough applicants actually submit complete/verified applications too since they extended the entire app a whole month instead of just a week or two

I received an email from them asking my cv and gre scores. I didn't want to wait the whole month but it is what it is

I emailed them to clarify and they had said they will be sending out interview invitations within the next few weeks. Even though they extended the deadline to April 1st, they will be sending out interview invitations before April 1st.

In-person interviews are planned for April 15 and April 16.

That's great thank you so much for clarifying that! I was starting to stress bc I live out of state and it would be hard coordinating if they sent out interview invites in April LOL.  Did you reply back to the person who sent the email? I've been trying to contact them through the general admissions email but haven't gotten a response. I was wondering if I should email the person who sent the email this morning instead

I totally get it. I am trying to estimate what days to request off from work and so I needed to clarify this right away, haha.

I emailed Dr. Peterson, she is the Director of the CRNA Program at UT Health Science Center San Antonio. She is very responsive! Her email is: [email protected]

Anyone know if we have to have stats within last 5 years, to even apply? Im curious if I can take it again after sending my application or its a must before even submitting an application.
