hey everyone, has anybody done their LeaDS interview as yet? Wishing y'all could share some of the questions they asked?

I am applying to a non-AE PHMNP program at UT and was curious the format/content of the interviews for those of you who completed that interview process recently. Thanks!

The interview was done in three phases. First was a group interview. They treated that mostly as an information session. Have a few questions in your back pocket to ask them. They appreciate the engagement. You'll need to introduce yourself in front of everyone. Have a good answer to "tell me about yourself." The second phase is the individual interview. Just be honest in this phase. Why mental health instead of another specialty? Why this school? How do you handle stress? What are the social/ ethical implications of master's level nursing? Last is a writing prompt. It changes, so I can't really tell you what yours is going to be. Again, just be honest. Read through the whole assignment before you start writing. It's not timed.

Good luck to everyone interviewing today and this week! I'm ready for the wait to be over.

I just had my LeaDS interview too. I ran out of time so I didn't get to ask, but did anyone manage to ask during their interview when we should be expecting final decisions?

I was told sometime between March and April. That seems late tho. In the past years they got decisions in February.

I was told decisions will be sent by the end of February. In past years they asked for a decision within two weeks and then started letting people off the waitlist if spots opened up. I think that process continues until the end of March.

Yeah, I interviewed for CNS but they told me they do admission panels at the end of Jan and start responding in early Feb, which matches previous threads on here.

Hi everyone, I was not able to find a group for 2024 applicants so I thought I should just post here. I am planning to apply for PMHNP  for 2024. I am taking my pre reqs and trying to  refresh my memory for GRE exam. I am struggling with getting good GRE scores. It's been more than 10 years that I'm out of touch with all the mathematic and It's all making me very confused and nervous now. I'm scared I might not perform well in the GRE exam which will effect my acceptance in the program. Can any one share any information regarding the acceptance of GRE scores at UT?

The GRE wasn't required this year and I know some schools are moving away from standardized tests, so it's likely you won't need it for the 2024 application either. However, if you still want to take it just in case, these are the stats they gave us last year: "The average GRE score of admitted students of LeaDs and CNS is 305; PMHNP is 317 with an analytical writing score of 3.8."

I think they originally gave the reasoning of waving the GRE this year as  "because of COVID". In previous years it hasn't been up to the School of Nursing to require it or not. It's required by UT Office of Graduate Admissions for all graduate programs. It was announced in April that it was being waved. If you are wanting more practice I would recommend getting the ETS Official GRE 3 pack (verbal, quantitative, and test book). I started working through the math before they announced it was being waved and it was helping!

Hi! I'm just jumping in on the discussion board with you all. I applied to the PMHNP program this year.  I am eagerly awaiting a decision email and am hopeful that maybe, just maybe.. it could be early February : )

Wishing you all the best of luck! ?
