Starting a thread for those applying to UT's AE-MSN program for 2023.
Keeping you all updated: I received an email today to get my background check and fingerprinting started. The email says the deadline to provide the required information (social, address, and UT EID) is 11/18.

Tbh, I'm not 100% sure but I'd assume that you'd enroll when the schedule of classes opens. The first year you don't really get to choose your classes. The online info session explains how the first year works.

I got the email for the background check information as well. I would check your spam folder and make sure it didn't go there. I would guess everyone gets this email. It can take up to 6 months for the process so they want to start it for everyone since they don't know who will be accepted. The Nov. 18th deadline is for providing your SS to UT so they can start the fingerprinting process. You don't have to have the fingerprinting done by the 18th.
I think after you are admitted you have just a few weeks to accept the offer since there is a waitlist. I don't at what point you are considered "enrolled" though.

The actual email says, "
Criminal background checks are performed on all applicants for Licensure in Texas. A criminal background check must be completed through the Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) based on the set of fingerprints you provide to MorphoTrust. The BON cannot accept fingerprint cards or criminal background check results mailed by the applicant, or results that were completed for another facility, even if the previous check was completed through the DPS and the FBI.
Due to the TX BON requirements, we require all applicants to complete the criminal background check prior to receiving the admission decision. This is required because if you have a record it can take up to 6 months to be cleared by the first day of the program and you must be cleared prior to starting any nursing program, if admitted. In addition, starting the process early ensures clearance in a timely manner. If you are accepted and attend any other Texas Nursing schools, this check is good for all Texas nursing programs."
There's a survey button where you fill out the required info. But the bottom of the email also says, "Please note providing this information in no way indicates admission to the AE program."
I don't have an interview set yet.

Oh yay! Yep. The 18th is the deadline to submit your SSN.

Hello all!
I was just curious if it’s announced when the program begins. I will not be this years application cycle but for planning purposes. I thought I read Summer session begins in June. Is that true?
