Hey all, I just got an email informing me I did not move onto the interview round, and that I can apply for the LeaDs program instead if I'd like. Wishing you all the best of luck!

Oh, no! Are you going to switch to LeaDs? I'm sorry! Fingers crossed you make it into LeaDs! ❤️

I got the same email. I went to a conference for nursing last month just to prepare for an interview but I’m going to wait until next year to reapply for the LEADS.

I'm sorry, Leah! What made  you decide to wait until next year to apply for LeaDs? I hope you get in next year!

My undergrad GPA is around 3.9 so I really thought I would get an interview but maybe I don’t have enough psych specific experience for the NP Program.  I worked with children as a behavioral therapist and with adult experiencing substance use disorder but I have a lot more experience in a hospital setting so if I didn’t get an interview with my current experience now I doubt I will get one next year

I’m going to wait until next year because we are out of state and my kid doesn’t finish TK until June. If we move first than I can get in state tuition which will be half the cost and my kid can finish the school year.

That's wild. You have so much experience! I'm sorry it didn't work out this year. Good luck next cycle. I'm rooting for you! And that's some pretty solid thinking for tuition purposes. I hate that there's such a huge difference in cost between in-state tuition and out-of-state tuition.

I will be applying to LeaDs. ? Who knows, maybe I'll choose a path other than psych. I'm also going to be applying to the Texas A&M Accelerated BSN with the hope of applying for a PMHNP certification afterwards. It's crazy how competitive it is! I'm guessing you got an invite for an interview?

Congratulations!! Best of luck on the interview, you got this!

Congrats on your interview cacaophony! Do you mind sharing what your work experience in healthcare is? I’m trying to see how I can improve for next years cycle. Thanks:)

I have 6mos of CNA experience and 1.5 years of clinical research experience in a neurology clinic that specializes in memory changes and neuroimmunology. I think it probably helped a lot that I work directly with an AG-CNS and wrote about how that helped me clarify my career path! I also have several years of healthcare volunteer experience -- 1.5yrs relaying COVID test results during the pandemic, an internship at a pediatric clinic, and several months helping with enrichment programs in a psychiatric hospital.

I got an email from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), yes. It is scheduled for 12/8 ?

Specializes in Pediatrics/Dermatology/Otolaryngology.

Has anyone gotten any letters of an interview for the PC PNP? Are we all supposed to be receiving these emails right now? I haven't gotten anything from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME).

I don't think we're all going to get them at the same time. I'd assume they have a lot of applications to go through. I haven't gotten anything from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) either. Let us know when you hear something!

@cacaophony are the interviews in person or on Zoom?

@kacey222 I applied to PCPNP and have also not heard anything.
