Hey everyone! Haven't seen a forum for UTA BSN Spring '23 so decided to create one, not sure if this will reach anyone but feel free to ask questions, share stats and chat about finding out if we get accepted

Time is getting closer and closer ?

Best of luck to everybody!!

for those of you that applied to UTA and other nursing programs (ie. TWU), did you guys apply for general admission to all of the undergraduate schools and then speak with a nursing advisor (bc schools won't even let you speak to a nursing advisor until you are accepted through general admission)? I'm a little confused with how it works if you end up being admitted to all the undergraduate schools general admission and then are waiting for the potential nursing acceptance from multiple schools as to not put all your eggs in one basket? Do you kind of just gamble and pay for all the general admissions and then apply to the nursing programs?

Yes, I had to apply to the school first then wait for that acceptance then talk with a nursing advisor then apply to the program.

The advisors said the week of the 5th so hopefully this Friday I’m feeling so impatient ?

You and me both!! I keep checking my email in the hopes it will be there. I try to find ways to distract myself so I don't think about it but I haven't been too successful. LOL

So did you have all the pre-reqs done for the multiple programs (bc different programs have different pre-reqs needed to apply to the program) before even applying for the program?

Yes, I had to take nutrition for TWU.

OK thanks! Also, lastly, did you end up taking all the pre-reqs mainly at UTA then, or a community college (because I know UTA prefers pre-reqs to be taken at UTA)?

I took all my sciences & most of my classes at UTA. I think it’s over 40 hours. I took a few at TCC. History & Gov, my Englishes & the nutrition  at TCC,

So to apply to TWU, you also had to get through general admission and then speak to the nursing advisor there as well as at the same time also speaking to the nursing advisor at UTA? sorry for all the questions

You could also send an email to advising, I was able to get answers before applying that way

but normally the programs have all the info you need under the programs website just gotta do some digging of your own to find it all ?

yea I've already talked to advising but I was just confused on the application process of multiple nursing schools that have different application pre-reqs because I'm doing a switch in my major ?

Yes, TWU uses a whole different system plus I had to write a short essay. It amazes me how every state school is different. You would think they would all be the same? Keeping my fingers crossed results are in soon!
