Hello everyone!

The deadline for applications to UTC for the start of January 2026 is near and I wanted to go ahead and start a discussion thread for all those planning on applying! This will be my first time applying to schools as well, so any and all advice is welcome. Best of luck to each of you!

Applied as well for the first time!

Does anyone know if we are to include a separate file that includes a resume and personal statement or if the two essay style questions within the application count as the personal statement? I emailed the POC on the website and they weren't clear.

Hi! I also had questions about the personal statement. I know in the information session they mentioned submitting a personal statement attachment after submitting your application but its not clear at all since there's not a space for it.

Personally, I hope we don't since I haven't written a personal statement for UTC, and I think a lot of what I would write would just be repeating from the essays in the app. But please let me know if they get back to you!

Once you submit your app, it leads you to a page to upload your resume/CV. I assume the essay questions would be considered your "personal statement,” as there is not anywhere to upload one.

Hi everyone! Submitted my app yesterday! For whatever reason the portal isn't showing my transcripts or CV as received. Has anyone else had any issues?

My CV shows as received, but my transcripts also show "not received". I sent them in through Parchment and I got email notifications from parchment that UTC has received and viewed the documents. However, still not showing up on the application. I emailed them and they told me if parchment said UTC viewed and received them then I shouldn't worry about it. They also said they will be going through 300+ applications and their materials, so no one would be able to tell me right away. I guess they are having to sift through everything? But I was told not to worry about it.

Okay! I'll try to upload it again. It's so weird it doesn't give me an error notification or anything when I try to upload.

300+ is scaryyy. Do you know how many are interviewed?

The way the email is worded, im not 100% sure that the 300+ is CRNA school alone or all grad admissions? Not certain. Not sure how many they interview either. But a previous school I applied to had 400+ applicants so it wouldn't surprise me. They accepted 16 and interviewed 40-50

Hey all, current SRNA in the program here! Last year there were ~386 applications, and 60ish interview spots, and the accepted class ranges around 25-32 combined between Tupelo and Chattanooga campus (Usually 5-8 at Tupelo).

Sorry im late to this- but where you uploaded your resume, you just add your personal statement to the additional files area

300+ is probably the CRNA alone, as they had over 300 applicants last year. According to the info session a month ago, they'll probably interview around 50 or so of those with 32ish spots, with I believe 6-8 of those for the Mississippi location
