I just submitted my application for the family nurse practitioner program that starts in the fall of 2025. I was a nervous wreck! Hoping I did well enough to have a decent chance of acceptance. I am still in the middle of taking my BSN but will be done in July. I've been working as an RN for about six years before I decided to go back to get my BSN. I'm just hoping to get in so I can just keep going until the very end. I'm afraid if I take another "break" that "break" will turn into years and years of refusing to go back.
Sorry for the long post, but for anyone who may already be in the program, how long did it take most of y'all to hear back after submitting your interview? I'm going to be sitting on pins and needles!

No.. My status is still the same "under departmental review" but I got the email yesterday saying I was recommended for admission pending background check and drug screen.
Awwww Rob, that was very sweet of you! I truly do appreciate your kind words 🥹 aside from school, it's been a really rough week and past few months.. I really needed to hear that. That message was said in perfect timing & I thank you so much for it! On the other hand, OMGGGG CONGRATULATIONS!!🎉🎊🍾 that's a huge deal, you got into BOTH schools and you should celebrate! LOL that's amazing news!! I'm so happy for you!! You deserve it! Wooot woootttt 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I am rooting for you all the way in FL!

No offense to anyone who has been to Walden, but I personally wouldn't go there. I've always been told when it comes to Walden University, it's easy to get in but hard to get out because many places won't accept to precept those at Walden because it's a for-profit school and not a brick and mortar school.

I can't remember exactly which questions were asked, but I definitely feel like I would've been more comfortable with an actual live interview. They asked five different questions. Four of those were a recorded response and the last one they wanted us to type out our answer in an essay type answer. They only give 30 seconds to get your thoughts together before the recording starts and then 2 minutes to answer. Once the 2 minutes is up or you click next, it went to the next question and you couldn't review the recording. I don't know if I'm just camera shy or what, but I was a nervous wreck LOL! Good luck to you though!

Aw Ness, I love your attitude and faith—leaving it in God's hands is the best place to be. I know that waiting game all too well, and trust me, that peace you've found in the middle of the unknown? That's something special. I actually just found out I've been accepted into Alabama's FNP program for Fall 2025, and while I'm incredibly grateful, I'm also still praying that there's room made for you too. I would be so pumped if we ended up in the same cohort! I genuinely believe God's got something great in store for each of us, in His perfect timing. This whole process has reminded me that sometimes rejection is just redirection—and doors close only so the right one can open. Keep showing up, Ness. I'll be cheering you on until you walk through that door too. I honestly had zero faith in myself and was expecting the worst, but then God opened the door after many nights in prayer on my knees. I promise you God is going to bless you in your life! It might not be the right time to walk through this door, but then again God is God and a spot may come open for you! Keep the faith! You are on the right track! Just don't let any small set backs take your eyes off the end goal!
PS: let me just add... LOL I typed all of this up after taking my night night meds😂 so take it as you will
